Lexxi Fox was the bassist of the popular heavy metal band comedic band – Steel Panther. While Lexxi Fox is just a stage name, the bassist’s real name is Travis Haley. Lexxi was part of the team and band for a long time before he announced his departure from the Steel Panther in July of 2021. Lexxi’s departure announcement was posted on the band’s website, and they even posted a tribute video on YouTube.
It was said that Lexxi started a side business ‘Sexy Lexxi’s Prettiest Pets’ to bring in money for botox when the pandemic and lockdown happened. And after Lexxi released his love for many pets spruced up and pretty, he chose to settle on his new passion, which was making dogs look pretty, which was why Lexxi left Steel Panther.
Why did Lexxi Fox leave Steel Panther?
In December of 2018, Lexxi sat out of Steel Panther’s tour after it was reported that he was admitted to sex rehab. But the real reason behind his absence or why he sat out of the tour was never disclosed to the public.
Satchel, a guitarist in Steel Panther, stated in a podcast interview in 2020 that none of the band members wanted Lexxi to leave. Many people didn’t want him to depart from the fan, including many of his and the Steel Panthers fans. But Satchel said that Lexxi decided to leave the band and that he had his things that he was dealing with, which brought him to the point of wanting to leave the band so he could focus on that. Satchel made it a fact that Lexxi left the band of his own will and was not fired.
After leaving Steel Panther in July 2021, Lexxi Fox started and formed a new band called Hollywood God N’ Monsters later that same year. In his new band, he goes by the name Travis Haley.
