In a shocking turn of events, it has been announced that Barbie Ferreira is leaving ‘Euphoria’ ahead of Season 3! As the actress gained huge attention after portraying the role of iconic Kat Hernandez, fans won’t be seeing her in the upcoming season.
The actress issued a lengthy statement on her Instagram stories, stating how after four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, she is all set to bid a very teary-eyed goodbye. Ferreira further added that she hopes many of her fans could see themselves in her as She did and that she brings joy to see her journey into the character that she is today.

The lengthy heartfelt post was concluded as the actress said how she did put all her “care and love” into her character, which was that of a plus-size high schooler trying to come into her own amidst all the brutal bullying.

While Barbie Ferreira confirmed the sad news of her departure from the hit HBO series, she also unveiled a drawing of her character’s cam-girl alter ego made by her Euphoria co-star Hunter Schafer, who plays Jules Vaughn in the series. The announcement comes after rumours of the actor walking off set at one point. Some fans even backlashed the show for reducing Ferreira’s time on screen during the season. Now fans are suspecting whether this has to do something with Barbie’s shocking departure.
After announcing her departure, fans soon took to Twitter to express their shock and sadness over the news while many said how badly they gonna miss her in the third season. One fan, however, pointed out that while it was probably not an easy decision but it seems so toxic and that it was really good that she left. While there has been no confirmation about it, but rumours of Ferreira and the show’s producer, Sam Levinson, getting into a heated argument, was doing the rounds a while ago.
