Michael returns to Thunder Bay to pick her up. When Michael calls his mother, he intends to tell her the truth, but he backs down and claims Murphy kidnapped him. His mom won’t let him turn back because he has her phone. Murphy is on his own. Nobody ever comes to a stop. She & Pretzel are alone in a park as it becomes dark, and she breaks down and sobs.
Jess is on the lookout for her. In the teddy bear, she handed her, there was a tracker. Jess is irritated by Murphy’s lack of concern for her. She argues with Murphy and discusses murdering Nia. Murphy advises her to leave her there to die. Murphy is absolutely destroyed by Jess, who then informs her it’s all a dream. Murphy imagined Jess being present.
