‘The Legend of The Blue Sea’ is one of the classic k-dramas, which has a famous cast and a dreamy storyline. It also is wrapped up in just enough time. ‘The Legend of The Blue Sea’ portrays a love story between a mermaid and a human being. The k-drama is originally based on the Joseon legend from Korea’s first collection of unofficial historical tales, “Eou Yadam”. The story follows Shim Chung, a mermaid who has been looking for her one true love Kim Ryung from the Joseon Dynasty.
It’s been centuries, and she still hasn’t been able to find him. That is, one day, she comes across Heo Joon Jae. Joon Jae is one of the best conmen working in Seoul. As the two crosses path, things get really crazy as neither of them has no clue about whatever is happening. Noticing a jade bracelet worth $6 million with Shim Chung, Joon Jae lets her stay with him in the hopes he’ll steal it. But things get out of hand when there’s a killer named Ma Dae Young behind Joon Jae. As Shim Chung sees the history repeating itself and Joon Jae starts falling in love with the mermaid, things are bound to get crazy.

Lee Min Ho
The actor is known for giving classic k-dramas like ‘Boys Over Flowers’, ‘City Hunter,’ and ‘The Heirs’. Lee Min Ho has been active as an actor since the second year of high school. Before making it big as an actor, Min Ho has played small roles in several television shows such as Romance, Nonstop, and Recipe of Love. He went on to make his debut as the lead actor with the 2006 EBS k-drama ‘Secret Campus’. But it wasn’t until his 2009 k-drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ that the actor became a huge sensation in the country. Making his acting debut in 2006, the actor has sure come a long way. As of now, Lee Min Ho has starred in the 2022’s one of the most anticipated k-dramas, ‘Pachinko’. And is also all set to star in the 2023 k-drama ‘Ask The Stars’.

Jun Ji Hyun
Gianna Jun, also known as Jun Ji Hyun, is one of the most popular actors in the South Korean entertainment industry. The actress made her debut in 1998 with the k-drama ‘Steal My Heart’. After starring in the 2001 movie ‘My Sassy Girl’, Ji Hyun got the fame she deserved. And is all set to star in the upcoming movie ‘I Love You From the Future’.
Sung Dong Il
The veteran actor Sung Dong Il is one of the supporting actors but plays an important role in the k-drama. Making his debut in 1991 in theatre, the actor cleared the SBS open talent auditions. In 1998, Dong Il went on to make his TV debut with the series “Eun Shil”. Spending more than a decade as an actor, Sung Dong Il has played all sorts of roles. From playing a wholesome father to a ruthless villain, he has done it all. Sung Dong Il is all set to come back with the upcoming k-dramas, i.e., ‘Curtain Call,’ ‘Tell Me Your Wish,’ and ‘Late Night Photo Studio,’ along with the movies ‘2 O’Clock Date’ and ‘Project Wolf Hunting’.
