At the urging of Colton and Stella, the Walker and Davidson families agree to share a meal to mend fences for the sake of their children potentially. Following Dan Miller’s claim that Denise Davidson sabotaged Walker’s saddle in the race for the Walker traditional ranch, Liam and Walker secretly plan to use the dinner to elicit a confession from the Davidsons, despite their father Bonham’s warning. The dinner starts innocently enough. But tensions between Bonham and Gale Davidson flare up, causing Bonham to storm out, and despite Walker and Geri Broussard’s efforts to coax him back to the table, the argument quickly resurfaces.
As Miles reunites with his wife Rita, James arrests Cole – but the rogue Ranger Captain refuses to reveal anything about what he was up to. After that, Cole reveals that he was forced by nefarious figures to murder Miles but faked his death and took him into hiding. After making this confession, Cole takes a hidden dose of poison to kill himself while alone, alerting James that Miles is about to be attacked. He sets out to move him while calling in Walker for assistance.
Miles Tells Something Important
Miles tells Cassie and Trey Barnett that he and Cole were investigating a gang of human traffickers who turned on them and forced Miles to flee. James arrives at Cassie’s apartment just in time to assist in defending them from a group of gunmen working for the traffickers, barely escaping unharmed. Miles goes into witness protection. And assures Cassie that she has always done the right thing before the two former partners part ways.
Geri approaches Walker privately with her concerns about her mother. Geri is unnerved by how Gale carried herself during the disastrous dinner party. Later on, Walker has Geri meet with the ranch hand, which the late Marv Davidson paid off to keep her parentage hidden. Implying that Gale was aware of her existence the entire time. Soon, Geri Davidson, the Davidson matriarch, is now under scrutiny as she wonders why she was drawn into this family feud in the first place.
