The central plot of the show follows a young man named Jang Tae-joon who has freshly graduated from the University. He was a detective but decided to join as an aide in the National Assembly in order to gain more power and control.
Working as the chief aide to a 4-time lawmaker, he developed very sharp skills with tremendous intelligence. Moreover, with great intuitive skills, he managed to secure his boss a spot as a party representative.
As the story progresses, Jang meets a neophyte lawmaker named Kang Seon-Yeong, elected through proportional representation. Both being highly ambitious and talented gradually forms a romantic bond that stays hidden from the prying eyes of the people who can cause trouble. The predicaments surrounding their career continue to broaden and make their work more intense with each passing day.
