The eighth episode ended on a cliffhanger for the fans. As soon as Shido returned to school with Mukuro and Tohka, he found Kurumi there. The ninth episode starts right then and there only. Shido questions Kurumi’s intention of coming to the school. While talking Kurumi says she is fine with Shido sealing her and taking away her power, but there is one condition to it.
The camera changes to Sir Issac Ray Pelham Westcott. He is telling his two subordinates that Zodiac has fallen to Ratatoskr and that is what he hoped for. He makes a plan to attack Ratatoskr. He reveals that he has summoned Nibeelcole, daughters of his Demon King to help him. In the evening, Shido goes to meet Kurumi as agreed. Ellen is on her way to attack Shido just then Mana attacks her.
Ellen calls Nibeelcole for help. Kurumi challenges Shido that whoever falls for the opposite one first, will lose and give their powers for it. Shido becomes determined to make Kurumi fall for him. Shido and everyone gather in his house and realize that Kurumi’s goal is to go back 30 years in time and kill the Spirit of Origin. The episode ends with Kurumi and Shido walking to school together the next morning.
