Our Blues Episode 15 Recap
Our Blues Ep 15 starts with the serene view of Jeju, Dong Seok, and Jung Joon having a conversation in front of Seon Ah’s abandoned home. Jung Joon contemplates how he will tell his love story in front of his parents. To this, Dong Seok mentioned how he should always listen to what his heart says. Though his decision may not satisfy everyone, however, it’s his life to begin with. Dong Seok gets a call from Seon Ah. They talk about the general things in life, which got interrupted after Seon Ah’s colleague asks for her. Before hanging up, Dong Seok asks her if she still worries for him only as a friend, to which we once more don’t get a proper answer from Seon Ah.
Meanwhile, Yeong Hui connected well with the people of Jeju. She, along with others, had a mini party at Young Ok’s restaurant. Though her sister, Young Ok wanted Jung Joon to refrain from taking too much care of her. She believed that despite her condition, Yeong Hui was capable of understanding and even remembering all the instances that happened to her. The event went west when in an argument, Yeong Hui revealed how her sister left her at the station leaving everyone stunned. In Ep 15 of Our Blues, later that night, when Young Ok wants to see her paintings, Yeong Hui doesn’t let her. She reveals that she learned to draw from her parents. Young Ok doesn’t believe her that much and goes to sleep by apologizing for the incident at the station.
Young Ok now has started to gel well with the rest of the hanyaeos. All of them have a bit of conversation about how Yeong Hui looks beautiful in her way and doesn’t need surgery to look a certain way.
On the other hand, Jung Joon and Yeong Hui hang out together, and they both have some fun moments. Yeong Hui mentions how her sister is so pretty, and she also wants to get her surgery to look like her. She also wants to wear makeup, look good, and date guys. Throughout the conversation, Young Ok being pretty comes up a lot of times, indicating how Yeong Hui also wanted to lead a normal life without the extra cons she has been facing because of being specially-abled.
The sisters, along with Jung Joon, head for a trip, where Yeong Hui captures everyone’s pictures. When Young Ok tells her that the sea makes her feel calm as if no one’s around her, Yeong Hui asks her if she feels like that when she’s not around? The three of them head for lunch, where a child stares at Yeong Hui, with leads to a bit of commotion. Later, Yeong Hui tells him how he will feel if she stares at him? He should not make fun of a person like that. However, more than the child, his parents needed more of a hearing. Their attitude towards the situation showed how they are as a person, pathetic.
Yeong Hui finally shows her drawing to Jung Joon, which he mentioned was beautiful. However, they lacked titles, so both of them worked on them.
It was difficult for Young Ok to forget the entire situation. She mentions how it’s unfair to her as she is the one who always has to take care of her sister. She even went for those people who always mocked her sister’s appearance and made fun of her in general. Young Ok was listening to all of this from outside, with tears running down her cheeks. The next morning before departing, Yeong Hui gives the knitted scarf to Young Ok, bidding goodbye before catching her flight.
Back in Jeju, Jung Joon tells Young Ok to head inside the bus before, and he will be there in a few moments. After entering, she saw her sister’s drawing all over. She remembered when Yeong Hui told her that whenever she missed her or felt lonely, she painted her, reflecting on the part of how much she had missed her for becoming such a great artist.
