If you do not know, let us introduce you to Infinite members. Infinite is a Kpop boy band that made its debut on June 9, 2010, with their first mini-album, “First Invasion,” which had “Come Back Again” as its title song. The group debuted under the label Woolim Entertainment. The Kpop group originally debuted with a total of seven members. They were Sungkyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong. But Hoya left Infinite on August 30, 2017. Since then, they have been active as a six-member group, but slowly the members left Woolim Entertainment.
Infinite has made a big contribution to the Kpop industry. In 2012, Billboard made a list of the top 20 best K-pop songs of 2012, and the song by Infinite named “The Chaser” secured the first spot on the list. Not only this, the song earned the third spot in Billboard’s best Kpop songs of the 2010s. The song received high praise as it was called a catchy song, and people were extremely impressed by its musical composition of the song. Infinite has won numerous awards like Best Group Performance in the 2013 Golden Disk Awards, Group musician of the year by Netizens in the 2015 Korean Music Awards, Bonsang Award in 2014 and 2015 in the Seoul Music Awards, and many more. The group was also mentioned in the list of 75 Greatest Boy Bands of All Time by Rolling Stone in 2020. The list of their achievements does not stop here, as they also made their spot in the top 20 on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40 rankings for two consecutive years- 2013 and 2014.
Infinite is highly famous for its dance, to be more precise- its synchronization and choreography, which has always shocked the fans. Along with their dancing skills, the group is highly famous for their heavenly vocals and their live singing. The Infinite members were also the ambassadors for UNICEF’s 2012 Birthday Campaign. Moreover, they have also endorsed several famous brands like Samsung and Pepsi.

1. Sungkyu

The first on the list of Infinite members is the leader of the group, Sungkyu. His birth name is Kim Sung Kyu, and currently, his international age is 33. He is also an actor and made his debut as a musical actor in the musical “Gwanghwamun Sonata”. He also made his solo debut in November 2012 with his solo EP “Another Me,” which also debuted on the Gaon Album Chart at number one. Recently he also released his fourth EP, ‘Savior’ on April 22, 2022, with its lead single of the same title. The idol has also announced a domestic tour, which will take place in June in Busan and Daegu. He left Woollim Entertainment in March 2021 after the expiration of his contract and signed with DoubleH TNE, which is a subsidiary of NHN & MLD. But he is still a member of Infinite.
2. Dongwoo

The second member of the group is Dongwoo, whose real name is Jang Dong Woo. Currently, his International age is 31. The idol is also a part of the sub-unit of infinite called Infinite H. This sub-unit was formed in September 2012, and they released their first extended play, which was titled “Fly High,” which was released in 2013. Dongwoo, too made his solo debut as a musical artist. His first musical was “In The Heights”. After that, he released his first self-produced song, which was titled “embedded in Mind”. The song was for the popular webtoon “Lookism”. He also completed his mandatory military service in November 2020, and in March 2021, he left Woollim Entertainment after his contract expired. But he still is a part of the group. Currently, he has been signed under Big Boss Entertainment since October 1, 2021.
3. Woohyun

The third on the list of Infinite members is Woohyun, who is a singer, songwriter, and actor as well. His birth name is Nam Woo Hyun, and currently, he is 31 years old Internationally. He is also popular for making his debut in Toheart. Toheart is a special unit that was announced by SM Entertainment, which consists of Woohyun and SHINee’s Key. They debuted on March 10, 2014, with their first mini-album and title track, “Delicious”. As an actor, he is famous for his lead role in “Hi! School: Love On”. The idol made his solo debut on May 9, 201, with his first EP, “Write”. The previous comeback he made was on October 19, 2021, with his fourth Extended Play, “With”.
4. Sungyeol

Sungyeol is the fourth member of Infinite. His birth name is Lee Seong Yeol. He is currently 30 years old Internationally. He is also an actor and made his acting debut with “While you were sleeping” in 2011. He was also cast in “Hi! School: Love On” along with Woohyun. He also formed a subgroup called Infinite F along with his bandmate, L and Sungjong. They officially released their first song named “Crazy”, which was also included in the second album of Infinite. He completed his mandatory military service in October 2020. The idol also left Woollim Entertainment after his contract expired on March 31, 2021. He then signed with Management 2sang on June 7, 2021.
5. L
Stage Name: L
Position: Vocalist, Face of the group, Visual
Birthdate: March 13, 1992
International age: 30
L is the fifth member of Infinite and is a popular singer as well as a well-known actor. His birth name is Kim Myung Soo, and he is currently 30 years old Internationally. He made his acting debut in 2011 with a Japanese drama called “Jiu Keishicho Tokushuhan Sousagakari”. Along with the members Sungyeol and Sungjong, he made the subgroup Infinite F, and they released a single album in Japan in November 2014, which was titled “Koi No Sign”. In recent years, L has been gaining wide popularity as an actor. He is highly famous for his role in “Angel’s Last Mission: Love,” where he acted alongside the famous actress Shin Hae Sun. After the expiration of his contract, he left Woollim Entertainment, but he is still a member of the group.
The idol has won many awards like the Best New Actor in the 2019 Asia Model Award and the Best Icon in the 2018 Asia Artist Awards. The idol-actor enlisted for his mandatory military service on February 22, 2021, and during this time, it was also announced that he would also debut in musical theatre in the military musical song by Meisa. Others joining him would be Chanyeol of EXO, Daehyun of B.A.P., and the actor Moon Yong Suk.
6. Sungjong

The sixth member of the group is the maknae of the group, Sungjong. His real name is Lee Sung Jong, and at present, he is 28 years old Internationally. As mentioned above, he was a member of Infinite F along with L and Sungyeol. The subgroup debuted in South Korea with their single album on December 2, 2014, which was titled “Azure”. The idol has also been a DJ host for his own program named “Lee Sungjong’s Midnight Black”. He completed his mandatory military service on May 8, 2021. On January 24, 2022, it was announced that Sungjong is leaving Woolim Entertainment, but like others, he, too, is still a part of the group.
7. Hoya (Former Member)

He is a former member of Infinite. His real name is Lee Ho Dong, and he is currently 31 years old Internationally. He is a singer, rapper, dancer, songwriter, and actor. His acting debut was through the hit Kdrama “Reply 1997,” and later, he has also played roles in popular series like “Two Cops” and “Devilish Charm”. He was also a part of the subgroup Infinite H along with Dongwoo, and the group released its first mini-album in January 2013, which was titled “Fly High”. After leaving Woollim Entertainment in 2017, he made his solo debut with his first mini-album, “Shower”. His recent solo comeback was on June 9, 2012, with his new digital single album titled “1AM”. On April 1, 2022, he signed a contract with Initial Entertainment and is currently under the label.
Although most of the Infinite members have left Woollim Entertainment, the group has not disbanded, and the Infinite members still claim that they have not left the group. Thus fans are always supporting them and are eagerly waiting for their comeback as a whole group.
