Aparajito is an Indian Bengali-language epic drama film. It is the second part of The Apu Trilogy. The story of this movie is adapted from the novel of the same name by Bibhutibhushan Bannerjee. The plot of Aparajito
The storyline of Aparajito mainly focuses on a boy, Apu, who leaves his home after the death of his father and went to study in Calcutta. And now, her mother has to face all the challenges of her life alone. Pather Panchali showed Apu’s family moving to Varanasi and gives a brief description of Apu’s life until adolescence in college.
Apu and his mother, after living some years in Benaras, went to a small Bengali village with his mother’s uncle. He does very well in a local school over there and gets a scholarship to study at a college in Calcutta. Now the main difficulty arises with his mother now with his increasing independence. Now, like any other mother, she wants her son to grow and succeed in love, but also she doesn’t want him to leave her alone. She becomes extremely ill in his absence. But until Apu could come back to see his mother, his mother had died. Apu wants to perform her last rites in Kolkata and thus goes back to the city.
