Starting its search for the Great Dance Crew in China, Youku TV is back with its brand new reality show. The Chinese network has joined hands with the Hip-Hop Committee of China’s Dancer Association for the show. Collaborating with the World Hip Hop Dance Championship (HHI), the Chinese Dancer’s Association has given all the dance crews out there in the country a chance to showcase their talent. With two episodes of ‘Great Dance Crew’ already out, viewers out there are literally losing their minds over the amazing contestants. With already established contestants, the ‘women’s dance crew’ is already in progress. The show has China’s street dance professionals and female street dancers coming from different backgrounds and professions. Taking over the stage, they’ve been working hard. As the search for ‘Great Dance Crew’ continues, the contestants will be competing in several rounds of competition.
‘Great Dance Crew’: Who Are The Mentors and The Hosts?
Four professional dancers and idols will be leading the ‘Great Dance Crew’ by mentoring the contestants throughout their journey. Japanese dancer and member of the boy group WARPs, SANTA, will be joining as one of the mentors. He’ll be coming as the alumni of Tencent’s survival show ‘Produce Camp 2021’. Another mentor is Cheng Xiao. The member of the Chinese-Korean girl group, WJSN. Along with having a career as an actor in China, Xiao has also been a mentor on the music survival show Idol Producer.

South Korean girl group, Miss A’s former member Fei, is the third mentor. After her contract ended with JYPE, Fei stayed in China. SM TOWN KPOP boy group, NCT U’s TEN, is the final mentor for the ‘Great Dance Crew’. One of the most popular k-pop idols from SM Entertainment, TEN, has been doing an amazing job. Chinese actor and singer Alec Su, who’s also known for Chinese dramas like ‘The Magic Touch of Fate’ and ‘The Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre,’ has taken over the stage as the main host.
As the reality show’s end approaches, the crews reaching the finale will be taking part in a world-class street dance crew competition. And as the dance crews make a future for themselves in the industry, they’ll also be setting up an example for the coming generation who loves to sway on the beats and are dreaming of becoming a dancer.
Great Dance Crew Episode Schedule & Where To Watch?
The Chinese reality TV Show ‘Great Dance Crew’ will be available to watch on YOUKU TV App and the Youku English Youtube channel, along with English subtitles. With each episode of the reality show having a runtime of around 3 hours, ‘Great Dance Crew’ will have ten episodes in total. Starting from April 16, 2022, the reality show will premiere new episodes every Saturday at 7.30 PM Bejeing Time until June 18, 2022.
