It is a sad day indeed as actor Mike Hagerty has passed away. The actor is known for playing small roles in as many as 100 television shows and movies. He was 67 years old. The cause of death has not been disclosed yet. Fans must remember him as the building superintendent, Mr. Treeger, on the iconic comedy sitcom Friends. The actor was also one of the series regulars on The George Carlin Show that ran from 1994-to 95, as well as Lucky Louie in 2006.
Fans recently saw the actor on HBO’s Somebody Somewhere as Ed Miller. His co-star, Bridget Everett, further confirmed the devastating news as she posted an update to her social media account. She further remembered Mike as someone so special, warm, and funny. It was further added how the entire cast and crew adored Mike.
Celebs Paid Their Tribute To Mike Hagerty
Several celebs mourned Mike’s death as Amy Sedaris and Comedy director Paul Feig paid their tribute to the actor as they called him brilliant. Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker also commented on the HBO star’s post and said how she admired him for years.

Mike Haggerty’s most popular scene in Friends is the one in Season 4, titled The One With the Ballroom Dancing, as Mike’s character Mr. Treeger agrees to not evict Monica and Rachel as they were illegally subletting their apartment but puts forth a condition. He would do so only if Joey helped him learn how to ballroom dance ahead of the Super Ball.
The late actor also starred in the popular sitcom Seinfeld in the Episode titled The Raincoats. In this Episode, Mike Hagerty played Rudy, who used to sell vintage raincoats to George and Kramer. Mike Hagerty’s other TV appearances include hit shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm, Grey’s Anatomy, Community, Shameless, ER, The Wonder Years, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He also appeared on the big screen in movies including Speed 2: Cruise Control, Wayne’s World, Dick Tracy, and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
