One just anime and manga series that was initially released some time ago is making its way back to the fans. The popular music anime series “Revue Starlight” is coming back with a special screen to rewind the memories related to it. However, this is not related to the whole long anime series but only the anime film. The anime film “Revue Starlight” is getting a special screen, a theatrical screening this summer. An announcement regarding the same was made early this morning, throwing equal light on all the aspects of this news. About Revue Starlight
Revue Starlight or Shojo Kageki Revyu Sutaraito is a very well-known shojo anime Japanese franchise. It was created in 2017 by Bushiroad, Nelke Planning, and Kinema Citrus. The series was first introduced as a manga series titled “Butai Revue Starlight: Show Must go on”. It was created and illustrated by Tsubaki Ayasugi and was published by Bushiraod Publications. It was serialized in Monthly Bushiroad manga magazine and debuted on 6th January 2018. Till now, it has been collected into two tankobon volumes. Later, another two manga series were released titled “Yonkoma Starlight” and “Shojo Kageki Revue Starlight Overture”. These two manga series are also ongoing, and an anime adaptation was also announced.
The anime was produced by Sentai Filmworks Studio and was released on 12th July 2018. Till 27th September 2018, it has aired 12 episodes in total. Later, an anime film titled “Revue Starlight: Rondo Rondo Rondo” was released on 7th August 2020. Another anime film titled “Revue Starlight” was scheduled to release on 4th June 2021.
Plot
The plot of the anime film Revue Starlight will continue the main plot of the series. However, even though it continues the plot, it opens with an all-new plot that has nothing to do with manga and anime. The plot centers on the main characters named, Karen Ajio and Hikari Kagura, who are in their third year at Seisho Music Academy. The academy is famous for being the best academy for young women who aspired to reach the height of stardom. In the movie “Revue Starlight,” you will get to witness these young women competing with each other on a battlefield of the stage. They will sing, dance, and present their talent to take the movie to its real progress.
Sentai Filmworks To Screen Revue Starlight In Summer 2022
Revue Starlight has already remained in the industry for quite some time, and its comeback is already making fans very excited. The anime film from the popular shojo anime franchise was announced back in May 2021. Later, its release was delayed to June 2021, but to a surge in the COVID 19 cases, many theatres were shut down in Japan. This led to a further extension in the release date and a theatrical screening for the movie. Now, as things are better now, Sentai Filmworks has decided to release this all-new movie this year. On Thursday, 21st April 2022, the production house announced that the brand new anime movie “Revue Starlight” will be released in theatres in June 2022.
However, an early premiere of the movie is also scheduled for Anime Central Convention in Rosemont, Illinois. On 20th May at 8:00 PM will be screened at the convention. As for a theatrical release, the movie will be available to watch in theatres on 5th June 2022, with an encore presentation on 6th June 2022. A trailer with English Subtitles has also been released to announce all these things.
