In the newest Episode of Lock Upp, Mandana Karimi revealed that she was in a secret relationship with a director and even had to undergo an abortion. While no names were disclosed, fans soon took to social media to speculate about the real identity of the director.
The actress had an emotional breakdown while she poured her heart out but soon composed herself and then shared the rest of her story. She further revealed that during the lockdown, she took a brief hiatus from social media for a few months.

She admitted how she could not trust men after her separation from her husband, Gaurav Gupta, and went on to have a secret relationship. Mandana revealed that while it was not committed but it went on for a year and a half, with things soon going out of control. While she did not disclose the director’s name, Mandana Karimi stated that the director talks about women’s rights and the independence of women in the outside world but maintains a facade altogether. The actress went on to reveal how they started to live together and call each other partners. Mandana then revealed that she had to undergo an abortion despite the pregnancy being a planned one. The unnamed director soon backed off and admitted that he did not think he was emotionally ready to become a father again.
Not only that, but the actress further revealed that the director said it was unexpected as he didn’t know that Mandana could get pregnant so easily at the age of 33. The two later went to Mandana’s best friend’s house because he felt like they should discuss it with them as they are like her parents. Show host Kangana Ranaut praised Mandana and called her a brave woman for all that she had to endure in her life.
