The film was announced in 2020, and the work on this project was planned for January to March 2020. However, after the breakdown of COVID 19 pandemics, a state of emergency was announced in Japan, and the production was delayed. In an interview with TV Asahi, the creator said that since the plot of the anime is based on a post-apocalyptic theme, the pandemic had a less tangible effect on it. The film was officially announced on 15th December 2021, and at that time, staff and other casts were released. Suzume no Tojimari will be making its way soon to the fans as a new trailer is out.

About Suzume no Tojimari
Suzume no Tojimari, also known as Suzume’s Locking – Up is an upcoming original anime series. The film is produced by CoMix Wave Films and is directed by one and only Makoto Shinkai. Its character design is handled by Masayoshi Tanaka, and its animation is done by Kenichi Tsuchiya. The project of this film was announced in 2020 and was planned from January to March 2020. However, as the pandemic broke out, the project was delayed. Then in August 2020, the script was finished as the story got drafted from September 2020 to December 2021. Finally, on April 2021, the production of the film began again, and the release date was finalized. Makoto Shinkai revealed the plot of the movie, and its sounds totally unique.
Suzume no Tojimari Synopsis
The plot of the anime series Suzume no Tojimari will take you to the door of different dimensions while giving some real-life teachings at the same time. The protagonist of the film Suzume no Tojimari is a 17-year-old girl named Suzume. She lives in a very calm and silent town in the Kyushu region in Japan. The girl had a very common life until she met a young man. At that time, he was looking for a door while Suzume helped him to find it. As they both found it, both of them traveled to the old door together that took them into an abandoned house in the mountains. This took Suzume into the door, and the “Door of Disaster” began to appear across Japan.
This also led to a lot of unfortunate disasters that started to take place. Suzume’s adventure began as she went around Japan in order to lock these “Doors of Disaster”. In this process, she went through a lot of adventures and battles in search of a mature girl’s freedom.
Makoto Shinkai’s New Anime Film Suzume no Tojimari Teaser Video Released
The first look of the film through the teaser poster was released alongside the announcement of the movie on 15th December 2021. Another update of the movie was dropped out on 9th April 2022, which told us more about the protagonist. Later, on 10th April 2022, a teaser trailer of the movie was debuted by Toho. Makoto Shinkai used a very good way to elaborate on the movie. He said that the movie includes the activity of closing doors. That can be related to tying loose ends of finishing something. The movie will take the viewers along the roads of Japan, which will not only feel relatable but also will make the makes to come to the theatre and stream it. The movie Suzume no Tojimari release date is set for 11th November 2022 in Japan.
