The young star has won this year’s best new artist. The best newcomer artist gave a heartfelt acceptance speech as she said that this win was her biggest dream come true.

The artist earlier recalled how she watched Beyonce performing If I Were A Boy and was awestruck. The entire performance kind of stayed with her as she admitted to having seen it 25 times while being completely enamored. Rodrigo has later released her debut album SOUR and a Disney+ film which were also subjected to positive reception from fans. The songstress recently opened up about the release of Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u, the singer revealed she was closing this chapter of her life.
While talking about the entire music-making process of making SOUR and putting it out in the world, Rodrigo admitted that it really challenged her and that she has grown so much while learning so much more about herself. The Grammy winner admired that she feels like a more confident person today because of it, as the singer explained that the aim was to revisit that past era of her life and close that chapter. Thus, there was a lot of nostalgia involved, as said by the album creator herself.
