Vampire Dormitory is about a girl called Mito, who, after losing her parents and her job, finds herself on the streets disguised as a boy. There, she meets a mysterious stranger named Ruka, who reveals his dark secret—he’s a vampire! Ruka offers Mito, still in disguise, a place to stay in an all-boys dorm in exchange for her blood.
As Mito understands her new life, a budding romance and the threat of her true identity being discovered hang in the balance, creating a precarious situation for them both.
After their unexpected encounter in the last episode, Vampire Dormitory episode 9 shows Ruka’s struggle as he grapples with the image of Mito as a woman that lingers in his mind. The upcoming episode will also feature Mito meeting Ren’s father, Lotis, who has plans for Ren to drink the blood of Ruka’s destined partner.
Recapping episode 8, the story picks up with Ren’s discovery that Mito is actually a woman. Stunned by this revelation, he takes her to his room and waits for her to wake up. Meanwhile, the vampire community questions Ruka about finding his destined partner, guided by an old lady who shows him her appearance.
Mito wakes up and pleads with Ren to keep her secret, apologizing for deceiving everyone. Ren forgives her and takes her shopping for female clothes. Seeing her dressed as a woman, Ren can’t hide his growing affection for her.
Mito encounters trouble with some guys and flees to a park, where she unexpectedly meets Ruka again. Despite spending time together, Ruka doesn’t seem to recognize her as a woman.
They bond over drinks, and Ruka attempts to drink her blood, but is interrupted when the clock rings, prompting Mito to flee to protect her secret. Komori arrives and urges Ruka to chase after her.
Back in her room, Mito disguises herself once more. Later, Ruka enters and feels conflicted upon seeing Mito again shortly after seeing his destined partner. Ruka goes to sleep, while Mito reflects on her fears and feelings in solitude.
