Studio Eclypse has released the first official trailer for BERSERK: The Black Swordsman, giving fans a three-minute preview of the highly-anticipated anime.
The anime is a passion project by die-hard Berserk fans, aiming to bring to life the iconic yet sadly unfinished magnum opus of the late Kentaro Miura. Over the past three decades, the Berserk manga has been adapted into several anime series, but The Black Swordsman Arc has only been portrayed once in the original 1997 TV anime.
In contrast, The Golden Age Arc has been rebooted multiple times through series, films, and games.
As the title suggests, Studio Eclypse will focus solely on adapting The Black Swordsman Arc, addressing fans’ disappointment with the more recent 2016 and 2017 adaptations that heavily used 3D CGI.
The first episode is scheduled to premiere in 2025. Meanwhile, you can watch the official trailer of BERSERK: The Black Swordsman and stay tuned for updates via Studio Eclypse’s official channels.
