Big changes might be coming to WWE! Dana White, the president of UFC, recently hinted that WWE’s biggest events, known as Premium Live Events, could be moving back to Sundays.
This is a surprising move, as WWE has held these events on Saturdays since 2022. Before that, Sundays were the traditional day for these shows.
TKO Collaboration Creates Weekend of Fights
The reason behind the potential shift seems to be the merger of WWE and UFC under the TKO umbrella. With both companies working together, they’re looking to create a full weekend of combat sports entertainment.
Here’s the potential schedule: Power Slap on Fridays, UFC on Saturdays, and WWE Premium Live Events on Sundays. This would offer fans a variety of fighting options throughout the weekend.
While White seems confident about the new schedule, WWE hasn’t officially confirmed it. Traditionally, WWE holds non-televised live events on Sundays, with some exceptions. There’s also an upcoming NXT event on a Sunday in June.
We’ll have to wait and see if this scheduling change becomes a reality for WWE Premium Live Events.
