Candiace Dillard-Bassett and her husband, Chris Bassett, have shared exciting news: they’re expecting a baby. This announcement comes after Candiace decided to leave The Real Housewives of Potomac following six seasons. Throughout her time on the show, viewers watched Candiace grow, especially as she started her IVF journey.
Candiace had concerns about becoming a mom, partly because of her challenging relationship with her own mother. As her career grew, she faced additional challenges, but her relationship with her mother improved over time.
On The Real Housewives of Potomac, Candiace often celebrated the love between the cast members and their mothers. Now that she’s pregnant, she’s excited to experience that love as a mother herself.
Candiace’s journey to motherhood was documented on the show, starting with her decision to undergo IVF treatment with her husband. She shared with Entertainment Tonight that they began the implantation process in January and found out they were expecting after two weeks. While they don’t know the baby’s gender yet, they plan to find out before the birth.
Chris, who already has three children from previous relationships, is looking forward to supporting Candiace through her first experience of motherhood. He told ET, “I’ve done this three times already; this is her first time.
I’ve gotta make sure that I stay engaged ’cause I’ve gotta be super supportive for her, and she’s going to need that all the way through.” The Real Housewives of Potomac can now be streamed on Peacock
