Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner, stars of “Married at First Sight,” are ecstatic to announce that they are expecting their third child, as shared by Otis on Instagram. Their announcement reflects not only their joy but also their unwavering optimism and faith in the face of adversity.
Despite facing challenges with conception over the past three years, including diagnoses of secondary infertility, blocked fallopian tube, MTHFR, hypothyroidism, and advanced maternal age, they are grateful for this miracle.
Otis has experienced both pre- and post-birth losses, making this pregnancy even more special for the couple. Their journey, which began with a unique meeting on the show, is now celebrating its latest milestone just ahead of their 10th wedding anniversary.
Despite past hardships, including a miscarriage at 17 weeks, the couple has remained resilient, welcoming daughter Henley in 2017 and son Hendrix in 2020. Through their struggles, Otis has openly shared her experiences, offering hope to others facing similar challenges.
In July 2020, Otis opened up to her Instagram followers about her battle with postpartum depression following the birth of Hendrix. “I’m afraid of appearing weak. I sense there’s a significant stigma attached to mental health issues,” she revealed.
