ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Ji Woong has personally addressed the recent cursing controversy that unfolded approximately two weeks ago during a fan call.
In a message to fans posted on February 17 KST, Kim Ji Woong expressed gratitude and apologized for any worry caused.
You must have waited a long time. My heart was heavy all the while. To our Ze_Rose who stood by my side unconditionally, I’m sorry for making you worry. When I thought about how this incident wasn’t something I had to bear on my own, but something that must have also affected Ze_Rose and caused you distress, my heart did not feel comfortable. For some, it might feel too late, but for me, I am thankful for the opportunity to address the issue even now. As always, I will do my best right by your side so that Ze_Rose can smile and be happy. Ze_Rose, thank you and I love you.”
Earlier on the same day, Wake One Entertainment, the agency representing ZEROBASEONE, released an official statement countering the accusations regarding the use of profanity by Kim Ji Woong after concluding a fan call.
According to the agency, a forensic analysis of the recorded video indicated that the individual uttering the profane word “Sibal” was not Kim Ji Woong.
However, due to limitations in the analysis, it was challenging to determine the speaker of the word. The statement aimed to refute the claims and assured fans of the ongoing efforts to protect the artist.
Kim Ji Woong’s message to fans provides insight into the emotional impact of the controversy on both himself and the devoted Ze_Rose supporters.
The agency’s official statement adds a layer of technical confirmation through the forensic analysis, emphasizing that the accusations against Kim Ji Woong may not be accurate based on the findings.
