Joseph Quinn had a lot of possibilities after leaving the Netflix series Stranger Things, and he went on to work on two successful movie franchises. Quinn played Eddie Munson in the science fiction horror series’ fourth season, which introduced him to viewers and ultimately tore them away.
Given the number of deaths throughout the four seasons, Eddie’s death was unquestionably one of the saddest in the history of the show—which is saying a lot. On the plus side, fans of Quinn from Stranger Things will get to see him in two eagerly awaited future films.
Naturally, a lot of people wish Eddie was still alive and had not perished in the Stranger Things season 4 finale when the demobats attacked him in the Upside Down. But only in season 4, when Jim Hopper was hinted at in the season 3 finale, was someone brought back from the dead in the Netflix series.
Given that Quinn already has several important projects on his schedule, it seems improbable that he will reprise his role as Eddie in the last season.
Joseph Quinn formally holds two significant franchises for Stranger Things in replacement.
In the coming years, Joseph Quinn will be a part of two prestigious franchises: A Quiet Place and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the third movie in the A Quiet Place film series, A Quiet Place: Day One, Quinn plays Eric.
As the title implies, Michael Sarnoski is the director and writer of the 2024 post-apocalyptic horror film that follows the early stages of the extraterrestrial invasion, including the arrival of the creatures.
Although there aren’t many details about Eric, Quinn’s character is hinted at in the A Quiet Place: Day One trailer. For years, there have been internet rumours about who will play the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Most recently, it was suggested that Quinn would play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.
Fortunately, on February 14, 2024, Marvel confirmed the Fantastic Four cast, dispelling these speculations and confirming that Quinn will play Johnny in the eagerly awaited MCU film. As one of the original members of the Fantastic Four, Johnny possesses the abilities of flight and pyrokinesis.
Before Quinn, the Human Torch was portrayed in live-action films by Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan. Joseph Quinn shouldn’t feel compelled to play Eddie in the science fiction horror Netflix series again now that he’s a part of the MCU and the A Quiet Place film franchise.
The actor looks to have a busy schedule shortly, and his appearances in Fantastic Four and A Quiet Place: Day One suggest that he will be successful in Hollywood. Even while some fans would like to see Quinn return for season 5, he doesn’t need to go back to Stranger Things to advance in his career.
