Blackpink’s Lisa is set to debut as an actress in season three of The White Lotus. On Monday, HBO confirmed the news, revealing that Scott Glenn and Julian Kostov will join the cast alongside Blackpink’s Lisa. Well, Lisa Manobal will be credited under her given name.
Details about Lisa’s character for the upcoming season have not been disclosed yet.
Lisa Manobal will be the second member of the South Korean group to star in an HBO series, following Jennie, credited as Jennie Ruby Jane, in her debut on The Idol, a controversial show led by Sam Levinson and The Weeknd.
Production for the series commences this month in and around the Four Seasons Koh Samui, as well as Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand.
Deadline previously reported in November that the cast will feature a patriarch, a female corporate executive, an actress, and several mothers, including a country club wife, a misfit, and a yogi.
The first season of the acclaimed HBO series received 20 Emmy nominations and won 10 awards, while the second installment set in Sicily garnered 23 Emmy nominations and secured five wins.
