Iűaki Godoy, the hero of One Piece, has left fans wondering what the Straw Hat pirates will face in season 2. In 2023, the well-loved manga series by Eiichiro Oda was brought to life on screen, with Godoy as the vibrant and driven Pirate King wannabe Monkey D Luffy.
As Luffy, Nami (Emily Rudd), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Usopp (Jacob Gibson), and Sanji (Taz Skyler) sailed for the Grand Line after making their mark as wanted pirates, Season 1 came to an end with the Arlong Park arc from the manga.
Although the second season of One Piece is still in the early stages of development, fans are curious about Luffy’s next destination after reading a recent tweet from the One Piece Netflix Fan account. Godoy took a short video with a camel in the post above, and the description only included two camel emojis.
Godoy is scheduled to attend the Middle East Film & Comic Con in Abu Dhabi. Some have theorized that the image while entertaining for newbies, might be a reference to Eyelash, the animal companion of the Straw Hat crew during the Arabasta Arc, and a sign of an upcoming adaptation.
Where Will One Piece Season 2 Take The Straw Hat Crew?
After the first season of One Piece ended, the show itself had already established several future storylines for adaptation. While Buggy (Jeff Ward) and Alvida (Ilia Isorelys Oaulino) plotted revenge and an evil Marine Captain began chain smoking two cigars, Luffy, the Straw Hats, Koby (Morgan Davies), and Helmeppo (Aidan Scott) got ready for the next leg of their trips.
Based on these two clues, fans have theorized that season 1 would open with Luffy being torn between his former adversaries and this new adversary in the Loguetown arc. The Arabasta Saga was a thirteen-volume epic that comprised 117 chapters during the original One Piece manga run.
The plot was concluded with the saga’s eponymous arc. Along with introducing many beloved characters, like as Nico Robin, Portgas D. Ace, Vivi, and Crocodile, the storyline also gave Luffy some of his most difficult early fights.
Because of this, the Netflix version will not only increase the number of characters and the show’s setting, but it will also raise the stakes as Luffy discovers that not all enemies can be defeated with his Devil Fruit powers. Given its length, a Netflix adaptation of the Arabasta Saga might supply most of the content for One Piece season 2.
As a result, a lot of viewers would be curious about which plot points and characters—including Eyelash—will be brought to life in addition to the tale of Koby and Helmeppo’s Marine training.
Even if Godoy’s message might just be a lighthearted reference to his current circumstances, fans’ enthusiasm for the live-action adaptation’s future is evident from their conjectures about what season 2 might bring.
