Seoul Performing Arts High School (SOPA) has officially confirmed that Kim Garam, the former member of LE SSERAFIM, will not be featured on the graduation photo wall during the upcoming graduation ceremony.
Recent speculations suggested that Garam might make a public appearance at the event.
According to a SOPA official, Garam is not included in the list of students scheduled to appear in the public ceremony. The graduation ceremony is set to take place at 11 AM on February 7.
The official clarified, “There will be a photo wall format space for reporters at the graduation ceremony, but Kim Garam is not on the list for the photo wall.”
As Garam is currently a non-celebrity without agency representation, her absence from the media-focused photo wall is in line with her status.
Despite her past involvement in the HYBE girl group, her departure from the industry left her without a reason to participate in such public appearances.
Garam gained attention in May 2022 with her debut in LE SSERAFIM, but her time with the group was cut short due to allegations of school violence.
Despite initial denials from Source Music and legal actions taken against the accusers, the controversy led to her departure from both the group and the agency in July 2022.
Following the tumultuous period, Garam has been focusing on her education and is set to start a new chapter as a student in the Department of Media and Acting at Konkuk University.
Her dedication to clearing her name was evident through public denials of the school violence allegations and the sharing of documents related to the investigation by the school violence committee, which she claimed proved her innocence.
As Garam continues her studies and moves forward from the controversy, the future will reveal whether she finds success in her potential acting career.
