In Disney+’s much-anticipated series, “The Impossible Heir,” Lee Jun Young is set to captivate audiences with his portrayal of a desire-driven antagonist, adding depth to the multifaceted narrative.
The storyline revolves around the ambitions of three characters striving to ascend to the summit by vying for control of Korea’s largest conglomerate. Lee Jae Wook steps into the shoes of the cold-blooded yet dignified Han Tae Oh, while Lee Jun Young takes on the role of Kang In Ha, a character oscillating between the realms of good and evil. Completing the trio, Hong Su Zu portrays Na Hye Won.
Kang In Ha, as depicted by Lee Jun Young, conceals intense desires beneath a veneer of carefree nonchalance. Being the neglected illegitimate child of Kang Oh Group, the nation’s premier conglomerate, he allies with Han Tae Oh (Lee Jae Wook) to ascend from the bottom to the pinnacle in pursuit of validation.
Initially lurking in the shadows with concealed ambitions, Kang In Ha gradually becomes ensnared in an insatiable ambition to become the owner of Kang Oh Group.
Lee Jun Young skillfully embodies Kang In Ha with a nonchalant demeanour, portraying him as “a character who conceals his pain, an enigmatic figure capable of straddling the line between good and evil.” The actor expressed his commitment to conveying the character’s sense of freedom, experimenting with various approaches to bring Kang In Ha to life.
