Lee Jin Seok, a participant in ‘Single’s Inferno 3,’ shared insights about his experience on the show during a recent interview.
Lee Jin Seok, a Daegu-based cafe owner, attracted notice on the show not just for his masculine appearance and playful demeanor but also for his close friendship with fellow contestant Lee Kwan Hee, a basketball player with Changwon LG Sakers.
“I feel like our personalities match well,” Jin Seok commented when asked about the friendship. “Kwan Hee is loyal and takes care of his people really well. If you’re his person, he’ll give you everything. […] Even now, he’s the one organizing a lot of our gatherings.”
Despite Kwan Hee’s athlete recognition, Jin Seok confessed he was initially unaware of Kwan Hee’s identity, stating, “I wasn’t familiar with sports, so I didn’t recognize him. Thanks to him, basketball seems more popular now.”
Surprisingly, Jin Seok revealed that the most unexpected aspect he discovered about Kwan Hee on the show was not his profession but his age, mentioning, “He appeared younger than me.”
Continuing the discussion, Jin Seok brought up another castmate, Park Min Kyu, a rescue diver and police officer. “Min Kyu’s age and job caught me off guard too. I initially thought he was a soldier,” he explained, reminiscing about moments during filming.
“When someone walked by while we were asleep, Min Kyu would startle awake and swiftly rise. It seemed like a reflex, leading me to believe he was a soldier, but it was simply his ingrained habit of quick responses.”
As reported earlier, following his stint on ‘Single’s Inferno 3,’ Jin Seok has voiced his aspiration to explore modeling and various opportunities within the entertainment industry.
‘Single’s Inferno 3’ takes place on the desolate island of ‘Hell,’ characterized by limited food and basic living conditions. Upon finding a mutual connection, contestants ascend to ‘Heaven,’ a lavish hotel with gourmet fare and luxurious accommodations.
Riding on the success of its predecessors, seasons 1 and 2, the latest installment, season 3, continued to dominate Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV shows (non-English) for five consecutive weeks post-release and secured spots in the Top 10 lists of 31 countries.
