Palworld, the groundbreaking game from developer Pocketpair, reached an extraordinary sales figure of over one million copies in just eight hours following its release.
Debuting on January 19, Palworld soared to the top of Steam’s best-seller chart and quickly became one of the top four most-played games on the platform, according to the number of concurrent players.
As of this writing, the game has outperformed the famed battle royale title PUBG, securing the third spot with an impressive 365,000 concurrent players and earning a ‘very positive’ rating from users.
Apart from its Steam success, Palworld is also accessible on Xbox and Windows PC via Game Pass, suggesting its overall popularity is even more significant.
The massive influx of players at launch, however, has led to server stability issues, as acknowledged by Pocketpair. The developers are diligently working to solve these problems, suggesting that players try multiple connection attempts or wait a short while after launching the game for a smoother experience.
According to Palworld Game, It’s worth noting that the Xbox version of Palworld is lagging in functionality compared to its Steam counterpart.
Furthermore, since its public release, Palworld has drawn attention and scrutiny from Pokémon fans due to its apparent similarities with the Pokémon franchise.
