Tracee Ellis Ross’ look at the 75th Emmy Awards was breathtaking. 51-year-old Ross looked jaw-dropping. The look was a combination of a subtle look with classy accessories.
As a presenter of the Hollywood ceremony at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, the Candy Cane Lane actress opted for an outfit that was white and crisp, elevating her role for the day.
The six-time Emmy-nominated actress got a compliment from her fan on X (formerly Twitter), noting her look with “love it” while complimenting her bright ensemble.
Tracee seems to have a thing for going dressing up all white, paired up with gold accessories and dark lipstick, complementing her look. Her 75th Emmy Awards look gave Deja Vu a Deja Vu moment from her AFI Awards 2023.
Tracee Ellis Ross’ look at the 75th Emmy Awards
The 75th Emmy Awards, which were supposed to be a 2023 ceremony, got delayed due to SAG-AFTRA and writers’ strikes and were rescheduled for 2024 on Monday, January 16. The host for the ceremony was our beloved on-screen husband, and wife of Black-Ish, Anthony Anderson, and Trace Ellis Ross.
Tracee Ellis Ross, who was tapped as a presenter of the Hollywood Ceremony, spotted an elegant, jaw-dropping look at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
Trace stepped into a top-to-bottom white-color outfit from Sportmax’s SS24 Runway collection. Her crisp white outfit had a faux turtleneck neck top that was sleeveless, and in a peplum design from downwards that was to the length of her hip.
Trace paired her gorgeously fitted top with an ankle-length, slightly side-shaded skirt. The whole outfit was elevating her figure, and to add more elegance to it, Trace went on for her Pomellato earrings and metallic plump heels.
The makeup look of Ross was more of her French formal look: a subtle base with a red lipstick and a sleek high ponytail. While she rode to the awards, she was seen having a golden box clutch on her lap in the car.
Seems like Ross is “very committed to this look”. To protect her outfit, Ross was seen lying down in the back seat of her car in the video shared by her stylist so, no harm is caused to her outfit. Her fans loved the outfit, but the actress had fallen in love with it at first sight.
Tracee’s stylist also uploaded a video of Ross while she was on her way to the Emmy Awards: “Hi Karla! I’m very committed to this look, and I’m committed to you,” Ross said in the video while giving a thumbs up. Ross recently appeared alongside Eddie Murphy in the holiday movie ‘Candy Cane Lane’ released on the OTT platform, Prime Video.
The Emmy audience wasn’t only amazed by Ross’s look, but they were also waiting for a black-Ish reunion between Trace and her on-screen husband, Anthony Anderson, who was also the host for the 75th Emmy Awards. He said, “I would do anything for her today, and I believe she would do the same for me,” at the time.
Tracee has always been on the award show; she previously earned six nominations: five for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series as Rainbow Johnson from her 2016 work and one for being the producer of an Outstanding Comedy Series.
Later in the evening, Ross took to the stage with Natasha Lyonne to present, where she swapped her futuristic red carpet look for a vintage-inspired look to recreate an iconic movement from I Love Lucy. While tributing to the iconic moment, Lyonne and the hosts, Anthony Anderson and Ross, evoked Lucy in a get-up with a short, curly wig to make it look more like the 50s-inspired character.
Tracee, who was playing Lucy, got commented on by Natasha for her outfit during the skit, who herself stays in her red-carpet clothes, and said, “Ah, okay, I see. So, you went all in,” to Ross and she said, “I always do, Natasha Lyonne.”
