The previous chapter was quite cute with Siani having a wholesome and heartfelt interaction with one of her maids. So far, Siani is working hard to change her ending and making sure that the male lead of the original story escapes the basement unscathed. Of course, she has to go through all sorts of trouble to make it happen.

Last time, the male lead who was tied in the basement escapes and kills everyone, including Siani. This time, Siani needs to make sure that the male lead escapes without causing a bloodbath.
The story is somewhat similar to the popular series ‘Roxana’, where the MC also has to let the brother of the female lead escape from the basement, before the story goes awry. The fans can see the resemblance between Roxana and this manhwa, and hoping that it would do justice to the story.
Right now, the MC is basically doing everything to make the ML’s life easier so that he wouldn’t try to kill her when he comes to take his revenge. Recap
In the previous chapter of I Became the Master of the Devil, Siani and her maid were working together while Siani was cooking up something for the ML. Her maid keeps asking her about accepting the invitation from Duke Benio but Siani was adamant not to do it, considering that she was not the same person anymore.
She did not love the Duke so there was no point in accepting the Duke’s invitation. Siani’s maid asks her what she was making and Siani says that it is candy. She actually tells the maid that it is pill that tastes like candy and we get to see a flashback from one of Siani’s past life.
Siani ended up getting killed by the ML after failing to kill the young prince so she has no idea what happened to him after that. That is also where she picked up the skills for making antidotes and medicines, and she was feeding Norma the antidote candies to make sure he doesn’t suffer.
As they are working, Siani asks her maid if she wants medicine and hands her confused maid a container of medicine for her hand. Siani tells her to use it for the small wounds which makes the maid really happy. Siani ends up feeling a little weird and guilty by her maid’s enthusiastic gratitude without even using it.
Siani tells her that she was planning to make some medicine for all the maids since their hands are generally in a pretty bad shape. The maid feels very grateful and she gets a bit sad, thinking about Siani and Duke Benio since she wanted her master to be happy with the guy she likes.
