In 2024, Slow Horses became the first program to receive a renewal. Based on the thriller London Rules by Mick Herron, the fifth season of the show was picked up by Apple TV+ at the beginning of January.
The show, which debuted in 2022, centres on a dysfunctional group of British intelligence operatives who work in Slough House, pushing papers. Starring in Slow Horses are Christopher Chung, Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Gary Oldman. However, Minx was not as fortunate when it was postponed a second time.
Max gave Minx a second season renewal in May 2022, but by the end of the year, he had changed his mind. Starz decided not to order a third season of the show, even though season two of the show will premiere in July 2023. Jake Johnson made hints that he wasn’t expecting good news before the cancellation was officially announced in January.
Johnson told Deadline in December 2023, “By evidence of me cutting my hair short, I don’t [expect a renewal],” referring to the series’ demise as “unfortunate” because “there was a lot to that show.”
Which TV Series in 2024–2025 Will Be Renewed and Which Will Be Cancelled?
ABC
The Good Doctor: The show will end after season 7. The previous season revealed Lea (played by Paige Spara) to be in the throes of labour, but she is having last-minute concerns about her capacity to protect her child from harm. Shaun (Freddie Highmore) had to go home to fetch her lucky socks since she was so adamant about having them.
Informing Dr Glassman (Richard Schiff) that Lea is in labour, he sees the doctor outside his flat. Although Dr. Glassman congratulates him, there is still a strange dynamic between the two. When Lea locates Dr. Glassman, she tries to talk him out of his broken heart with Shaun, but she bursts into tears.
Asher (Noah Galvin) sends Shaun a case regarding a young girl who needs surgery after being in a vehicle accident because no other attendings are available as Lea’s labour continues.

Slow Horses: The show will be renewed for season 5. During the last season, the Slough House crew found the beheaded body of Moe, one of the kidnappers holding Hassan Ahmed captive, which is where the plot takes up right away.
It soon comes to light that Moe is MI5 agent Alan Black, who was assigned to infiltrate the kidnappers. Jackson Lamb takes immediate action and gives the order to gather up the remaining Slough House agents while the rest of the squad is still recovering from the horrific scene. To prevent MI5 from tracking them, he also destroys all of their phones.
In an attempt to find agent Struan Loy and the team’s tech wizard, Roddy Ho, before the MI5 apprehends them, River, Min, and Louisa set off. Tragically, Struan is taken prisoner by the dogs and taken to Diana Taverner, who uses extortion to force the Slough House agent to admit Jackson Lamb’s role in Alan Black’s demise.
CBS
The Drew Barrymore Show: The show will be renewed for season 5. We witnessed Cindy Hsu, a reporter and anchor for CBS New York, working with Drew and Ross Mathews at the Drew’s News desk during the previous season!
They are talking about things like the conflict between a group of wild turkeys and the people of Staten Island. Dan Levy, the director and star of “Good Grief,” talks with Drew about his first-ever directorial role, being named after an Elton John song, and his interviewing her as an MTV correspondent. The hottest stories of the day are being covered by Drew and Ross Mathews.
Examples include the woman who said the groom was into her first date and the grandma whose goal of being a published author came true after her grandson published her children’s book. Hetty McKinnon is cooking butternut squash lasagna with Drew and Pilar Valdes.

American-Born Chinese: The show will end after season 1. Earlier this season, we observed Together with Jin’s closest friend Anuj, devise a scheme to lure Mowang and the Jingu Bang out after spending the entire season attempting to learn more about the fourth scroll and repel Mowang’s numerous attacks.
The idea is essentially to have Jin cosplay as the Bull Demon during a pantomime to trick Jingu Bang into falling into a trap. During the fall equinox, Mowang intends to use Jingu Bang to harness the force of the earth as a weapon against Heaven.
Ahsoka: The show will be renewed for season 2. In the previous season, we saw “Shadow Warrior” spend a disastrous amount of time loitering between space and time, keeping the series’ primary story stalled for a few bad storytelling decisions.
Fantasy lightsaber duel filler is Filoni’s go-to tactic, but only when there are genuine stakes does it make sense. This is a facsimile of Anakin, mixed with Ahsoka’s dismay at what he turned out to be, and her recollections of him as her friend and mentor. Who wins the duel doesn’t matter because the duel is meaningless in and of itself.
Fox
The Jennifer Hudson Show: The show will be renewed for season 3. Heidi Klum promoted “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League” during the previous season. Jennifer invites animal communicator Nikki Vasconez from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Animal communicator Nikki was formerly an attorney and now teaches her clients how to conduct two-way discussions with animals and does readings with their pets. Nikki will read to Jennifer and converse with her. Lilly Singh talks about the animated children’s show “The Mindful Adventures of Unicorn Island.”
Vanessa Van Edwards, a body language specialist from Austin, Texas, is a best-selling author, speaker, teacher, and body language expert. Jennifer welcomes her. Vanessa is well known for imparting to audiences all around the world people skills that are supported by science. Welcome to finance guru Ramit Sethi, Jennifer

Bookie: The show will be renewed for season 2. Earlier this season, we observed As Danny and Ray pursue debt collection from clients in the Los Angeles area, they make an effort to locate actor Charlie Sheen. Danny and Ray try to talk a client down from the edge after a violent run-in leaves them shaken, while Hector tries to sneak onto the squad.
Danny places several high-risk, high-reward bets that might make or destroy his firm while Lorraine’s side project fails. The biggest night in sports provides a windfall of riches to Danny and Ray, but Hector makes a mistake that threatens the money and their life. Sandy gives Danny a warning after a bloody altercation: go legal or face losing his family forever.
Our Flag Means Death: The show will end after season 2. Earlier this season, we observed Izzy and the crew become concerned as a broken-hearted Blackbeard fills the vacuum left by Stede’s adjustment to his new normal by conducting daily raids. While Blackbeard’s crew prepares their retaliation, Stede, Olu, and Black Pete discover shocking information while on board Zheng’s ship.
While Blackbeard reflects on his life, Stede enjoys his newfound notoriety. Oluwande reunites with a reluctant Zheng with some assistance from Jim. Stede, Zheng, Spanish Jackie, and the remaining members of the Revenge crew unite to vanquish a cunning shared adversary endangering the pirate industry.
Julia: The show will end after season 2. Intimate insights are welcomed at the table in Julia season two, particularly when illustrating the growing pains of Child’s celebrity. As her notoriety grows, she travels from the WGBH studio to the White House, where she encounters everything from product placements to political intrusions into her and Paul’s past.
However, this time around, the table is so cluttered with side dishes of new people, strange locales (the premiere whisks us out to the French Riviera), and updated backstories for the returning characters, that we’re left craving the main course, which is just more Julia.
Starz
Minx: The show will end after season 2. Constance questions Joyce about Richie’s “bathhouse” photo shoot at the start of “Woman of the Hour,” which brings her to the photographer.
She tells Richie straight out that Minx should focus more on serving its female readership than its LGBT readership, which enrages the latter.
Since he has already worked on the same issue twice, he begs her to publish it without his assistance. When Doug questions Constance about her desire to dissolve Bottom Dollar, she confesses that her true goal is to disband the business and create “Papadopoulos-Renetti Global,” with Doug serving as its president. She reminds him that he will be receiving reports from Tina and Joyce.
