Novels in the psychological thriller genre can be successful or unsuccessful. However, there is a lot of interest in the upcoming tvN drama My Happy Ending, given the track record of Korean dramas in this genre over the years.
Following the 2017 K-drama “Go Back Couple,” the Korean drama, starring Jang Na-ra and Son Ho-Jung in the lead roles, will feature them as the primary leads. Following the popularity of romantic comedy, there’s been a lot of talk about the chemistry between Jang Na-ra and Son Ho-Jung in this one.
She gets envious of Jae-won’s almost flawless life after they reunite. Remarkably, Jae-won’s life abruptly alters when she is duped by those she puts her trust in.
Happy Ending is a conventional K-drama with a total of 16 episodes, it has been revealed. Additionally, until the third week of February, the show will release two episodes every week, with new episodes airing every Saturday and Sunday.
The primary leads of the series, Seo Jae-won and Ho Soon-young, are played by Jang Na-ra and Son Ho-jun, respectively. In key roles in the show are So Yi-hyun, Lee Ki-taek, Kim Hong-pa, and Park Ho-san.
Jae-won awakens in the hospital bed beside her spouse, Soon-young. But has doubts about his motivations after witnessing him with Yoon-jin the previous day. Yoon-jin’s father, Mr. Kwon, arrives for a meeting with Jae-won concurrently. He makes fun of his daughter Yoon-jin for not being as talented as Jae-won when he sees her working on the painting.
Preview
In the opening scene of our story, SEO JAE-WON (Jang Nara) is running from a man wearing a mask. She is unable to outrun her attacker, who pins her against a bridge and starts to strangle her despite her formal attire and high heels.
Three days prior, on a picture-perfect day in Jae-won’s woodworking workshop, we are introduced to our heroine, who happens to be the self-made CEO of her own furniture company. She spends most of her time at work and hardly gets any time for herself because she divides her time between making furniture and taking corporate calls.
Nevertheless, our heroine is capable and confident, and she has a close-knit support system. When Jae-won is unable to come down for his father-in-law’s birthday, her devoted husband, HEO SOON-YOUNG (Sohn Ho-joon), makes sure their daughter is well taken care of and makes a pot of seaweed soup for his dad.
In the business world, Jae-won is also well-supported. As an artist, her best friend, KWON YOON-JIN, is currently working on a commission from Jae-won. Even though Yoon-jin’s income isn’t as high as Jae-won’s due to his successful career, their adorable teasing shows how close they are.
Together, Jae-won and her team leader, YOON TEO (Lee Ki-taek), who she reports to, get along well. As a result, they are able to work out a new deadline for the home camera device they are developing. They joke around like old friends, and I’m already getting along with them.
