Those bandits decided to attack Jaegok with a soulful strike, with his plum blossom in full bloom. Plum blossoms appeared out of nowhere, in full bloom, so everyone was shocked that Jaegok was not just using some empty words.
They realized at that very moment that they had picked the wrong person to mess with. Jaegok showcased the plum blossom in nine variations, but everyone was trying to avoid it.
But it was not possible, and they started calling for help as everyone knew they were going to die. But all of a sudden, Jaegok stopped all his attacks, and he gave up on winning the fight.
Because he realized that those bandits had lost their courage to fight, he told everyone to get out of there, and he was proud of himself.
But Master Ma told him he used a butcher knife to kill a chicken, so he considered that Jaegok was just the same as everyone else.
He reminded Jaegok to only use as much strength as was necessary. He mentioned that even though Jaegok found a safe sparring partner, he let them go away so easily.
Jaegok was not sure why the master was making such a big deal out of it when he had already won the fight. Yijong told Jaegok it was simply a matter of a lack of experience since his master had always been his sparring partner.
He could not control his strength either, so the competition was a good experience for him. Master Ma agreed that Yijong would gain some experience from his fight.
Yijong asked Master Ma if Jaegok had mastered the jade ring sword. Master was surprised that Yijong knew about that because Jaegok had not shown it to anyone.
Yijong explained that he was surprised while looking at the plum blossom of Jaegok. Because he thought that such a strong sword could also express the versatility of the plum blossom sword, he was sure that if Jaegok did his best, it would be more powerful than anyone else’s plum sword.
