Returning to 1991, Power Book III: Raising Kanan tells the story of a young man named Kanan who must rise above the harsh world and forge his path as he learns to navigate a world full of glitz and politics.
Sascha Penn is the creator of the criminal series, which debuted in 2021. Even though the show is now in the middle of releasing its third season, a fourth season has already been approved. This is the tale of Kanan, who has at last taken up arms against his family, especially his strong mother, Raq, who controls the south side of Jamaica.
Raq has Marvin and Lou-Lou, her brothers, at her side to assist her in managing her realm. Though his mother continues to watch over him, Kanan has left her nest and gone on his own, not wishing to be under her tutelage any longer. There will be more disputes and external dangers as a result of Raq seeking to defend her kingdom and Kanan wanting to expand his own.
Recap
Kanan teams up with some of the delivery boys in Famous area to start a marijuana delivery service to become well-known and, more significantly, wealthy. He and Famous rolled in the dough without endangering themselves. Thus, it was an immediate success.
However, Ronnie is aware of their new moves, so that they might be in trouble. But for the time being, it appears like Ronnie’s main priority will be helping Unique get in shape as they both try to reclaim their place in the drug trade, which Unique is doing better at owing to some assistance from Chinese and Italian gang members. Raq wants to terminate hers once and for all as Kanan begins his operation.
Now that she has accomplished her goal of killing Sal, she is concentrating on maintaining her clean image and avoiding federal investigators’ sight, ensuring Kanan does the same, and relishing her amorous moments with Unique. After three seasons of Raising Kanan, she and Marvin are both at the top of their game.
Marvin is the best father we’ve seen. Additionally, he is a huge supporter of Jukebox’s aspirations to become a singer, particularly in the days preceding her big audition. However, what may be stated for Marvin cannot be applied to Lou-Lou, who keeps going downhill and hits a new low.
But toward the conclusion of the show, there’s optimism that he’s finally made a turnaround. Kanan wants to prove to everyone—including himself, his friends, his family, and the outside world—that he is capable of working hard and succeeding without the support of his mother.
In “Open For Business,” Kanan establishes his marijuana delivery service, which transforms the way clients place and receive their orders because it operates behind closed doors and away from the streets. He’s got a lot going on, thanks to his will to succeed and his will to show his mother, Raq, that he is independent.
Conversely, work is just getting underway as orders begin to pile up to an unbearable height, and Ronnie’s unexpected arrival at the close of the episode portends the arrival of a new foe.

For the Thomas family, new business endeavors are taking shape, but as Ronnie’s tolerance wears thin, things seem worse for the Mathis boys. Raq takes a chance in exchange for Kanan’s submission.
