On 16 December 2023, the Strictly Come Dancing finals happened and Ellie Leach has been crowned the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2023.
The Strictly Come Dancing finalists has recently given a sneak peek at the years Glitterball Trophy ahead of theri final show. There were three couples that was left to come face to face to battle out for the last time before public vote for them.
The finalists are actor Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell and the former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and Vita Coppola. After twelve weeks of dance battle, these three couples have been selected as the finalists.
In the finale, the couple performed routine which was chosen by the judges and their own favourite dance and also a show dance. The eliminated couples also returned for the finals before the winner is announced.
The couple who will take the cup to home is Ellie Leach and Vita Coppola. They have beat the other two finalist Bobby Brazier and Layton Williams to lift the glitterball trophy at the end of Saturday’s live final.
The finale had a very emotional opening as the former star, Amy Dowden performed the opening number. The dancer was unable to have a celebrity partner this year on the BBC One show following her diagnosis and subsequent treatment for stage three breast cancer.
The finale was really a star studded event and all the finalists danced their heart out giving their best performances. All the three finalists got ready to set the stage on fire with their amazing moves.
Strictly Come Dancing 2023 Winner
After weeks of practices , rehearsals and competition, the finale witnessed magnificent dances of each couple in the finals. But the only couple who lift the trophy was Ellie Leach and Vita Coppola.
The actress was awarded with forty points for her mesmerizing final dance of the night. Anton u Beke was very proud of her and became emotional as he speaks about her. She was also praised for taking risks in all the dances she has performed. The actress took a big risk with the second dance with her partner.
Ellie was out of words when the winners was announced and her dance partner Vito praised that his co-star for her dedication and hard work. The win was one of the historic moment as Ellie becomes the youngest winner of the series.
It was the public’s vote that made the Ellie and Vito the winner as the judges were really confused between the three finalists. All the participants , hosts and spectators were happy with the announcement and were jumping in joy as the two lifted the trophy.
The Youngest Finalists
This season’s finalist are the youngest lineup of finalists till now. The first finalist was Ellie Leacha nd her dance partner Vita Coppola talk high about each other. Vito praises his partner for all the achievements they have achieved till now.
The actress admits that she was not confident and was void of self belief before participating in the series. But Italian pro dancer Vito, 31, has revitalised her and Ellie says she’s now discovered an inner dance diva she never knew existed.
Ellie said that:
Strictly has really helped me to build on that and grow because obviously we go live on a Saturday night, which is something I’m really not used to and dance in front of millions of people and do something that is completely out of your comfort zone so for me that has really helped in building my self-confidence.
The next finalist is Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell who did not even know at first what ballroom was . Bobby brazier is 20 years old and says that there is an elegance and a maturity and loveliness in his partner. The dance partners seem to be in love and has gave out great chemistry.
The next finalist was Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and seem to have great coordination together. William is 29 years old and is best known for musical theatre roles. He is a thrilling dancer who combines power with finesse and he was one of the top scorer in the season.
