Right after BTS’ J-Hope, NewJeans is now set to perform at the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve event. As the title suggests, the latter is the first Kpop girl group to make it happen – their historic debut. The more surprising part is that the rookie band made its debut in July 2022 with their work – Attention. NewJeans And Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve: All To Know
Well, the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve event is set to take place on 31 December 2023. That’s naturally the last day of the year, which should be celebrated. Concerning the timings, it is to be noted that December 31 is at 8:00 pm ET, and January 1 is at 1:30 am IST.
Where can one watch the show? It will possibly be broadcast on the American TV network- ABC. How badly are you excited? Concerning the first Kpop girl group to participate in the event, NewJeans is set to perform from its home country- South Korea itself. That will be aired on the show. Previously, not just J-Hope, but also Psy, who made it to the same.
It was on 13 December 2023 when the announcement of Dick Clark’s event was made. Who else will perform? Well-popular artists like Post Malone, Ivy Queen, and many more will perform from their respective locations. We may say that they will not appear in person at Times Square in New York City.
In addition to this, it will also feature several other celebrity personalities, including Green Day, Renee Rapp, Doechii, Aqua, etc.
On the following day, NewJeans took it to the group’s official X (previously called Twitter) account and expressed its excitement. The post said, “We’re so excited to join the global New Year’s @RockinEve celebration.”
Fans took the discussion to social media, showing enough support for the rookie group.
