CBS is getting ready to launch Big Brother Reindeer Games, a new reality show that will take a fresh approach to the popular American reality series Big Brother. Housemates from previous seasons of Big Brother will be featured on this holiday edition of the show, which is being published.
The candidates and program hosts were ultimately revealed by the producers not long before the premiere of the first episode of the competition show. Jordan Lloyd, Tiffany Mitchell, and Derek Xiao—former Big Brother house guests—have been confirmed as the show’s three hosts.
Additionally, the producers have announced that a total of six episodes will be available in just two weeks. Every episode will conclude with one participant being sent home, and the prize and winning title will only be taken home by one winner from the final show.
The show, which was developed to cover the void left by the 2023 SAG strike, is currently being marketed as a holiday special in the Big Brother universe. They will be known as Santa’s Elves, and their goal is to make the whole place radiate Christmas cheer. The last episode of the show is anticipated to air before December 25, 2023.
In contrast to previous iterations of Big Brother, this one has already been filmed, meaning viewers won’t be treated to any live shots of the contestants within the house, and the finale will already have been completed by the time the first episode airs.
Recap
Another legend has been sent home in a recent episode of Big Brother: Reindeer Games. Santa recruited nine former cast members of Big Brother to compete this winter for $100,000. The nine ex-housemates arrived at the Big Brother residence decked out for the holidays.
In the first Big Brother: Reindeer Games episode, Cameron Hardin was ousted. He lost to Xavier Prather in a competition known as Santa’s Showdown. Cameron (from BB25) was singled out by the other houseguests in a previous challenge, and Frankie Grande pitted him against Xavier in the elimination round.
The three Big Brother 16 contestants—Frankie, Nicole Franzel, and Cody Calafiore—reunited in familiar alliances. People were shown plotting before the night’s trials. Frankie appeared to patch things up and wanted to make sure he was okay with Xavier.
Nicole spoke with Cody, and Britney Haynes spoke with Danielle Reyes about getting Cody out. Jordan Lloyd, the co-host of Reindeer Games, showed in with another puzzle involving a Christmas tune. Jordan also declared that the victor of the Naughty or Nice challenge would receive a “game-changing” edge.
There were clues all over the house, so the participants had to race—and bump into each other—to see who could finish first. In addition to determining who would receive a disadvantage, the first person to solve the riddle would also receive an advantage.
In a diary room session, Xavier said he threw it. Additionally, Britney stated in a diary room session that she didn’t want to win because Episode 1’s stress level was too high. Cody won the first challenge of the evening. Taylor Hale feared she would be singled out.
