After a heartwarming yet intense Moment, Alvin and his team have returned to their main objective. Sister Cocolle has finally got rid of her Debuff and so the rest of the team is sure to follow her lead soon enough. Witness Alvin and the team face these great odds and finally achieve their goals in The Chronicles of the Misfit Quartet and Their Unrivaled Synergy Chapter 8!
The Chapter opens up with Sister Cocolle apologizing to Teto about hitting him earlier but Teto doesn’t seem too worried about it. He tells Sister that it’s fine because she even restored his HP.
Sister still feels a bit concerned because Teto also has injuries that can’t be healed with magic but Teto reassures her that it’s nothing as he has dealt with a lot of injuries during his previous fights.
Recap
Sister gets shocked after seeing Teto being so casual about injuries. Teto then compliments Sister’s strength but she gets rather embarrassed by it. Alvin and Melina follow Sister and Teto silently as they don’t want to intervene. Melina asks Alvin if he gave the Merman’s tears to Teto just because he wanted to cope with being called poor and Alvin’s expression makes it clear.
Alvin asks Melina why they are in the setting sun cave and Melina replies that it’s because they want to get rid of their minus skills. Alvin then asks Melina what she intends to do after they get rid of the minus skills and Melina replies that she would like to form an official party of adventurers who can reach heights that seemed to be unreachable before.
Alvin also agrees with Melina but he still wonders if Teto would be interested in forming a party. Teto asks Alvin if they should head to the lower floors and Alvin replies that they are searching for monsters that would hit them with debuffs. Teto gets excited and decides to take Alvin to the boss’s room.
Teto runs and takes the lead but he suddenly falls because of a frozen area on the floor. Alvin suddenly notices that a frozen Chimera has appeared at a distance and this sends everyone into panic mode. Melina and Sister take a defensive stance and await Alvin’s orders.
Teto thinks that Alvin would just order everyone to retreat and he will be left behind by his party members once again. He remembers his past traumas and how he was used as bait by his party members and was left to die alone. Teto closes his eyes to await his impending death but he suddenly hears his sister’s voice.
Teto opens his eyes and finds Sister standing in front of him trying to get him off the ground. He turns around and finds that Alvin is fighting the Chimera all alone just so he can protect Teto. Teto finally stands up and asks Alvin why he didn’t retreat.
Alvin smiles and replies that he would have run away if he was alone but with the combined strength of his teammates, he believes that he can take down this monster. Teto looks around and finds that Melina and Sister are also trying their best to win this battle so he decides to help everyone too.
The Chimera roars and jumps back which means that it is preparing to fire a freezing breath. Alvin orders everyone to be on guard as this is the strongest attack of the Chimera. Suddenly Teto jumps in front of everyone and prepares to attack. Alvin immediately gets that Teto is aiming for something and so he allows him to attack.
Sister provides a small freeze resistance to Teto so that he can withstand the Chimera’s attacks. Teto locates the snake wrapped around the Chimera’s neck and throws his knife at it with full force. To everyone’s surprise, The Chimera stops moving as soon as the knife strikes.
Teto signals Cocolle to fire a lightning bolt at the Chimera and finish it off. Cocolle unleashes a strong lighting strike but the Chimera still stands up. Alvin realizes that the monster would try to fly now and this would make things difficult. Alvin rushes towards the Chimera but Teto outruns him and reaches it first.
Teto strikes the Chimera with his knife and finally kills it. Cocolle, Melina, and Alvin just stand in awe of Teto’s abilities. Teto recalls all of his sufferings once again and thinks that he has finally found the party he belongs to. He runs towards Alvin and gives him a high five to express his happiness.
Alvin and Teto chat for a bit afterward and Teto reveals that he just struck the snake based on his intuitions but luckily he was correct. Cocolle also reveals that her god of envy’s curse has been removed.
