The last episode, though intense, ended on a rather good note, with Sky finally being able to pursue his passion for music wholeheartedly. His mother finally agreed to stop interfering, and despite his current hospitalization, his heart was burning to win.
The Thai drama premiered its first episode on 9th September 2023 and tells the story of young and enthusiastic Sky, who has always loved music. His father, who died when he was younger, was also a music enthusiast and influenced him a lot.
After being abroad for a long time, Sky finally returns to Thailand. His main goal in returning was to be like his father and pursue a career in singing. He was aware of his talents and wanted to work on them to honor his dad.
However, problems arise when he joins Max Academy, and the teachers have a history with Sky’s mom. It seems that in the past, they had caused problems for his family, which ultimately led to distaste between his mom and the mentors.
As Sky continues to improve in his singing, will he be able to reach the peak of his goal, or will his mother’s past haunt him and prevent him from following his passion?
Recap
Best confronts her mother regarding a rumor she had heard around the school. According to that rumor, her mother had made Kwan, a rival student in Best’s class, withdraw from the intensive course.
When Best asked her mother about the reality of the matter, she was hit with a wave of disappointment when she found out that it was, in fact, true. Her mother told Best that her singing skills would never match that of Kwan’s, and so she took every measure possible for her daughter to win.
Hearing this, Best could not contain her anger and warned her mom not to interfere in her life ever again. Meanwhile, Sky was being visited by his classmates in the hospital. After his injury, he had been quite disheartened about what to do as his mother had previously disapproved of his music career.
However, it seems that when his teachers, Max and Khim, went to pay a visit to Sky, they encountered his mother, Phrae, who seemed to now have a different stance on the matter. She told them that she would no longer be taking Sky to America.
Max was shocked at her decision but was also relieved as he saw the potential Sky had to become a star. Phrae told them that she didn’t want their past troubles to hinder the future of her son. So, even if she had still not forgiven them, Sky deserved to have good mentors to climb the ladder of success.
After this discussion, all three of them go up, and Max and Khim check up on Sky in the hospital. Max tells him not to lose heart, and though he might be strong-willed to give his best, he also must take care of his body and take ample rest in order to achieve his goals.
To cheer him up, everyone who had paid him a visit sang Sky a song to give encouragement, including his teachers. The episode ends with it being the last week of the intensive course. After several weeks of blood, sweat, and tears, it was now time for the final test.
Out of 3 boys and 2 girls, one of each would be deemed worthy of becoming the representative of Max Academy. They all now had one last exam to compete in before the participant was chosen. For the boys, they had to put on a grand show while the girls had to battle amongst themselves.
