The Denver couples from Married At First Sight seem to get along quite well despite knowing each other for only a few days. Following the family brunch will be the much-awaited honeymoon special episodes, where the couples will be able to spend more time together and learn about their personalities.
After Nashville, Married At First Sight US returned earlier this year with 5 new couples from Denver. The couples include photographers, contractors, therapists, and people from other backgrounds hoping to find love through Lifetime’s relationship experiment.
MAFS US is based on a Danish series with singles from different walks of life being coupled together by relationship experts to see if they could end up having a real relationship despite meeting their partner for the first time on the wedding day.
One of the couples of MAFS season 17 ended the relationship before it even began, giving us fewer couples to focus on for the new season. The remaining couples are Emily and Brennan, Clare and Cameron, Becca and Austin, & Orion and Lauren.
Recap
After the rest of the couples get married, the newlyweds spend the night at their temporary residence before they pack their bags for the Honeymoon. This time, the MAFS crew is going to take these special couples to Cancun, Mexico.
Before the MAFS couples can move on to the next part of the marriage, they’re all asked to meet their partner’s close friends and family. This will help provide an insight into their new significant other’s personality and what it’s like to live with them in the real world.
Doing this before the honeymoon is a great way for Clare & Cameron, Lauren & Orion, and the others to familiarize themselves with the partners before they spend the next few days all alone with each other at the sunny beach.
Emily meets up with Brennan’s parents, who let her know that Brennan tends to be short-tempered and stubborn. Since both Emily and Brennan were perfectionists and career-driven, the parents feel that this could end up being an issue for the couple in their relationships.
Becca and Austin seem to like each other already, and Becca talks about her surgery. When Austin meets Becca’s family and friends, they let her know that she easily downplays the pain and sadness that come from her health issues. They let Austin know that all Becca ever wanted was someone to support her as she dealt with her health problems.
Marina and Lindsey, Becca’s friends, feel that Austin could be a good match for their best friend. Lauren and Orion’s families like each other, too, but they are still in the process of proving that they get along well. Growing up in a mostly female household helped Orion support Lauren in the way she would have wanted.
