Discovery Channel’s Naked And Afraid seems to only be getting more intense as season 16 comes out with new episodes. From Trinidad & Tobago to Zambia, the next intriguing episode will feature a group of survivalists trying to complete the task successfully in this African country.
Naked And Afraid is a survival documentary-meets-reality TV show where we see a pair or group of survivalists heading over to different remote places all over the world and completing a 21-day challenge.
With no food, no water, and almost no helpful equipment (except for the machete, fire starter, and such single items that they’re allowed to bring) to aid them, these aspiring individuals take it upon themselves to create a safe shelter and locate food with the help of only their strength and intelligence.
The 16th season of Naked and Afraid will be sharing almost the same destinations as season 15, although Guyana and Argentina will not be one of the survival locations this time around.
Recap
Episode 4 of Naked and Afraid season 16 featured the return of survivalist Ashley, who was seen in a Fan Challenge of Naked and Afraid. Ashely became viral for her embarrassing ending in an older season & considered this new appearance a sort of redemption to take back her rightful pride.
Ashley and Andi start their survival 21-day challenge in a dense forest in Trinidad and Tobago. Andi brings a machete with him, while Ashley brings a fire starter. To prepare for the upcoming days, Andi decides that they should focus on building a safe shelter.
Since their location was a dense forest, it could rain anytime and leave them sick and weak. They prepare a small tent with the help of leaves and focus on starting a fire next. Due to the wood and leaves being wet, Andi finds it hard to start a fire, but after some cleaning up, he’s able to get it going.
Although Ashley had come to Naked and Afraid with the hope of redemption, the excessive ants, insects, and lack of water were too much for her. Moreover, Ashley didn’t want to repeat the same mistake she made last time and instead decided to boil water before consuming it.
The day they started the fire, Ashley and Andi woke up to the sound of heavy rain, which left their fireplace and tent completely wet. In the middle of the challenge, Ashley wasn’t able to handle the insects and complete lack of comfort, so she ended up leaving Naked and Afraid mid-way.
As for Andi, he stays behind and manages to live through the whole 21 days. After he completes the challenge, Andi heads over to the stunning beach and is picked up by a boat since he has completed the task.
