Boruto Uzumaki and Code have emerged as two of the strongest and most powerful characters in the Boruto series. Naturally, fans are very curious and debating who would win in a direct one-on-one fight between these two titans, and who is stronger Boruto or Code?
After the defeat of Isshiki Otsutsuki, the manga introduced Code as a new major antagonist. As Isshiki’s loyal follower, Code inherited the Otsutsuki clan’s goals and now seeks vengeance against those responsible for bringing down Isshiki.
Code became immensely powerful once Amado removed the limiters that had restricted Code’s abilities. At this current point in the Boruto story, Code has risen to potentially being the strongest living character in the series. While no one can decisively beat Code yet, there are a select few who could at minimum put up a very formidable fight against him.
Boruto Uzumaki is one such figure who has the potential to clash with Code. After fully manifesting his Otsutsuki form and gaining control of his Karma seal, Boruto has progressed rapidly. Though Code still exceeds Boruto in raw power for now, Boruto’s growth implies he could battle Code and not be totally overpowered. His access to Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s abilities and possession of a rare Dojutsu give Boruto the tools needed to be a credible threat against Code.
So in a direct one-on-one match-up as of now, Code would likely have the upper hand over Boruto due to his greater power. But Boruto has cultivated enough strength that he could plausibly clash with Code and not be easily defeated. While Code remains the superior fighter, Boruto has the qualities to make their battle intense and competitive if they were to face off.
How Strong Is Code In Boruto?
Code is the sole surviving Inner member of Kara after Isshiki Otsutsuki’s death. As Isshiki’s loyal follower, Code inherited the Otsutsuki clan’s goal of evolving into a godlike Celestial Being. Isshiki granted Code a White Karma seal that gives him great power.
When Isshiki and Amado were testing candidates for Isshiki’s reincarnation ritual, Code was one of 15 selected but only Kawaki survived the trials. Code showed physical reactions like the failed candidates but he managed to live, and his Karma seal mutated into the special White Karma.
Code resented that Kawaki became Isshiki’s vessel instead of him. Code hated Kawaki and made it clear he would kill Kawaki with his own hands if Kawaki weren’t needed as the vessel.
Meanwhile, Code’s abilities empowered by his Karma exceeded Jigen’s own strength. Normally Kara members stronger than Jigen were eliminated, but Code’s fanatical loyalty allowed him to live, so Amado installed limiters on Code that only Amado could remove.
Body Modifications
As one of Kara’s Inner members, Code possesses monstrous power. Though his full capabilities are unknown, Amado has said Code’s peak abilities surpass even Jigen’s, making Code the strongest in Kara besides Isshiki. Even with limiters, Code is among the strongest Inners, exceeding Delta, Boro, and potentially on par with Koji Kashin.
Amado believes that without the Nine-Tails chakra, Code could possibly defeat the Seventh Hokage Naruto in one-on-one combat. Code was also entrusted to guard the valuable Ten-Tails. He can use Yin Release for the Genjutsu communication technique. Despite his limiters, he has advanced hand-to-hand skills, easily countering Kawaki’s attacks.
Amado modified Code’s body with ninja tech tools. Like Kawaki and Delta, Code can transform his fingers into sharp talons that easily slice flesh. DNA from Shibai Otsutsuki lets Code mix his chakra and blood to create black bands that adhere to anything and act as portals, letting him attack from any location.
Unlike other Inners who had combat enhancements, Code’s modifications acted as limiters to restrain his White Karma’s tremendous power and prevent threatening Jigen. Even with limiters, he can lift a man twice his size one-handed as a shield. Amado has since removed these limiters.
White Kama
As one of the failed vessels that survived Isshiki’s reincarnation ritual, Code was granted a special White Karma seal by his master. This White Karma gives Code access to Isshiki’s “pure power”, though its full abilities remain unknown.
According to Amado, Code’s body had an abnormal reaction to the White Karma, giving him power exceeding even Jigen’s limits. However, unlike regular Karma seals, the White Karma cannot absorb jutsu. As Isshiki stated, the seal will eventually allow Code to transform into a perfect Otsutsuki and carry out the clan’s goals of consuming worlds and evolving toward godhood.
When activated, the White Karma spreads gray markings along the left side of Code’s body in a pattern almost matching Jigen’s, extending to the left eye.
How Strong Is Boruto Uzumaki In Boruto?
Boruto’s training under Sasuke is the most crucial factor in his post-time skip strength. When Sasuke emerged from his own training, he created new Chidori variants, defeated a thousand shinobi non-lethally, and invented Kirin.
With such an accomplished master’s guidance, Boruto’s abilities and base attributes after the timeskip are extraordinary. He has already shown promise in his fights, and will only grow stronger over time. Sasuke’s training would have taught Boruto the skills of a rogue ninja while unlocking his full potential.
Boruto’s powers also depend heavily on controlling the divine powers within him. With Sasuke’s help, Boruto likely mastered the Karma seal’s capabilities and learned to suppress Momoshiki entirely.
As the most seasoned Dojutsu wielder, Sasuke could have trained Boruto to control his Jougan if it activated during their training. While little is known of the Jougan so far, given Kawaki’s Dojutsu strength, the Jougan should be able to rival it.
Judging by the first chapter of Boruto, it’s evident he has adopted Sasuke’s dark, minimalist style of clothing and has also taken up using a sword in combat.
This indicates Boruto’s fighting style now centers heavily on kenjutsu sword skills, while also applying Sasuke’s emphasis on clever strategy and speed over raw brute strength.
As a prodigy ninja, Boruto already had access to and could utilize multiple chakra nature transformations even when he was just a genin. This versatility provided him with the foundations needed to employ more tactical and nuanced combat techniques.
We’ve already seen glimpses of the student-teacher dynamic between Boruto and Sasuke, where Boruto demonstrated great finesse and precision when executing the unconventional strategies devised by Sasuke.
Unlike his father Naruto who relied extensively on the Nine-Tails’ chakra early on, Boruto was already quite strong as a genin even without accessing his Karma seal.
Now, after three full years of intensive training under Sasuke’s direct tutelage and benefitting from Sasuke’s vast experience, Boruto would surely have progressed to become a phenomenally powerful force to be reckoned with.
However, the true extent of how much control and command Boruto has gained over his unique divine Otsutsuki abilities has yet to be revealed.
As someone inheriting both the special powers of the Otsutsuki clan and the prodigious shinobi skills honed by his master Sasuke Uchiha, it is very likely Boruto’s talents and techniques have evolved enough at this point to allow him to hold his own against god-level enemies.
This would presumably place his abilities on a level high above most ordinary shinobi at this stage.
Who Is Stronger Boruto or Code? Explained
At this point in the Boruto storyline, Boruto Uzumaki has emerged as one of the most extraordinarily powerful characters in the series. After finally gaining full control and mastery over the second stage of his Otsutsuki Karma seal, Boruto has ascended to a level where he can now hold his own and take on virtually any other character within the Boruto world.
Boruto has already faced off against Code in battle previously and performed extremely well in combat against him, even at that earlier stage before Boruto’s transformation into a full Otsutsuki was complete.
Now that his Otsutsuki transformation has fully manifested, Boruto has likely grown even stronger and more formidable as a fighter.
While Code is still currently ranked above Boruto in raw power, Boruto has progressed enough that he would now be capable of engaging Code in intense combat, trading blows, and even inflicting significant damage on him that could impact the outcome of a fight.
With Boruto gaining access to the full battle experience and abilities of Momoshiki Otsutsuki, on top of developing his own rare Dojutsu like the Jougan, Boruto Uzumaki has cultivated into a warrior with the skills necessary to put up an impressive fight against the likes of Code and not be easily defeated.
Although not at Code’s power level yet, Boruto has clearly ascended into the top echelon of strength in the series based on his rapid progression, and we can say that Boruto is stronger than Code.
