We will see Hilda tend to Adrian’s plant and return it to the reincarnation of Satan to gain more affection from him. Though Adrian is confused as to what the female lead thinks most of the time, the truth is simpler than that. Hilda wants to take action that will help her in How to Survive as a Maid in a Horror Game Chapter 21 and beyond.
Hilda is transported to the game world as the character who will die. But not all is death flags and dead ends for her as she has a system to help her survive. Sadly, it is riddled with many side quests, and Hilda gets distracted into doing those chores more often than not.
This caused her to starve and be low in calories to carry out her work on numerous days. However, she got to be the personal maid of Ardian, and the romance story began, or the baby steps for it. The story is still in its infancy with regard to where the male and female lead are headed, but the ship is here, at least.

How to Survive as a Maid in a Horror Game Chapter 20 starts with Adrian making small talk with Hilda. Hilda was too tired to even stand due to overworking, and the male lead took notice of that. Adrian asked, out of the goodness of his heart and courtesy, that she should rest if she were too tired.
Hilda rejected the offer after a short consideration, but when Adrian made it clear he wouldn’t ask twice, she caved in. And the moment she sat, the criticism of other maids started rushing her head in full pace. Their murmurs of asking her status as a maid ran in her for full simulation until it exploded.
Hilda didn’t explode, thematically, in front of Adrian, though, but he noticed her frustration and told her she could resume working if she wanted. Hilda was asked to sharpen the pencil that he had been given a few chapters prior. This made the female lead nervous, so she decided to turn on one of her skills and scan the room for possible death flags.

Though this story promises to be a horror story due to the title, it is anything but. A slow-blooming romance between the two leads, one at the position of power, the other at their mercy.
It is the essence of almost all the romance manhwa, but the Yumejoshi crowd falls for the beast type all the time. As for the reason behind that, we may not know, but it certainly is a force of nature in these stories’ context.
