We will see Seo Jongin being surprised by Youngguk’s performance as a supporting character for the script he had just read. However, this is the MC just being in his element as he is enacting the role that got him into the industry in the first place. But that was before his regression, and he will be playing for the first time in Be the Actor Chapter 59.
And speaking of doing roles, our MC played the role of a priest in the last chapter. Given what we were shown in the chapter prior, it looked like he would be the villain of the story. And then there was also a horror scene that made it look like MC was the villain (in that story).
We are then brought to another scene where the detective of the movie is asked by one of his seniors about the report he made. The senior was ready to give the detective an earful, but that didn’t come to be. The detective was taken in by the discovery in front of him and took on the case once again.

Be the Actor Chapter 58 starts with the priest having a short conversation with the priest. The detective commented upon how even the priestly were indulging in something like coffee these days. The priest only replied that those were minor things that kept the ship going and the priest awake for his endeavors.
The detective then got to the main topic for which he had shown up, which was then followed by a picture of an individual who belonged to the church. The script had a theme similar to the themes present in one of Dostoevsky’s plays. That a man doesn’t change no matter what he does; a rotten man remains a rotten man.
When it was cut, the actors were told to relax and take a breather, also the end of shooting for the day. Joongin wrapped his hand around Youngguk and told him what a great acting session that was. The old man was delighted that he could finish it up in one scene with no cuts or retakes.

Be the Actor Chapter 59 will continue with Joongin appreciating Youngguk for his acting devotion. Joongin had already noticed that Youngguk wasn’t in the acting for the fame but relished the art for what it is. He first came across this discovery when he saw Youngguyk wrapping the props he had made himself.
Youngguk, for his part, went from a character of mystery to that of a tragedy in a single chapter. Not his characterization but the characters that he was made to play in the last chapter, the two belonging to different walks of life. Overall, this series is still a slice of life, manhwa, but the acting motives of the characters add many variations to it.
We will see that variation play out yet again in the next chapter as Youngguk plays a tragedy-ridden student. He is familiar with that role, and it was one of the few that ground his feet in acting. We will see how this little performance will help him in his future endeavors.
