Popular wrestler Edge, whose real name is Adam Copeland, has been a part of the wrestling world for a while now. He has won as many as 31 championships in his career so far. Besides his wrestling career, Edge has also tried his acting skills as he made a small cameo in Highlander: Endgame.

Why Did Edge leave WWE?
Edge has recently opened up about his shocking departure from WWE while saying that as he got closer to the end of the deal, retirement was looking like a very real option and that it was not off the table.
He further revealed how he sat with the idea of retirement because he truly thought about how WWE gave him that night and believed that anything gets topped.
Edge further admitted that he got the sense there was no plan for him at WWE, and he does get it because what else do they do.
The WWE star stated that after 25 years, he has done everything here, and he feels like he is coming up against creative walls too, and is having a hard time coming up with ideas, which is not usually the case for him.
While talking more about it, Edge experiences that there are times when relationships grow apart, and he feels that he and WWE have just outgrown each other, as the former WWE Champion admitted that he just wants to do more and that WWE did not have much more for him to do. However, Edge assures that he will watch and still support all his friends there. The former WWE star has not yet revealed any of his future plans now that he is not a part of WWE anymore.
Who Is Edge’s Wife?
Edge’s wife is Beth Phoenix. Beth is herself a fellow WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix to help in Edge’s transition. Beth Phoenix is a four-time Women’s Champion and the WWE Diva of the Year 2008. The two have been notoriously private about their relationship over the years.
Edge recently stated that every time he walks into the room, the music needs to hit, and there needs to be at least sparklers, as he jokingly said how his daughters will be responsible for handling his pyrotechnics.
Edge had retired once before, back in 2011, after he suffered a neck injury, followed by nine years of inactivity. Edge later made his comeback to WWE at the 2020 Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant and then returned as the winner of the 2021 Rumble from the number-one position.

The wrestling star further revealed how, Halfway through the match with Sheamus in Toronto, he thought this was probably his last WWE match while adding that he thought this might be a great chance to retire after this. Copeland continued by saying how the match in Toronto was the perfect ending.
Edge explained that what WWE gave him that night, he will hold with him until he dies as he was having so much fun and considers it the perfect ending.
The former WWE star revealed that there was also the problem that he was contracted for 10 matches a year and that he was offered to do more, but to their point, it would not feel quite as special. He understood that as it felt like neither of them had any ideas, which had never been the case before.
