Set in Alaska and Norton Sound, Bering Sea Gold follows a bunch of courageous and determined gold hunters who prefer finding gold buried deep within the cold, dark waters rather than other conventional ways.
Despite airing since January 2012, Bering Sea Gold has managed to stay just as interesting as it was all these years ago. It’s the way these groups of gold hunters use their own modified boats and equipment in unique ways that end up capturing the interest of so many people all over the world.
While hunting for gold by diving in these freezing waters may seem like a big task, it has its perks and rewards, as these groups can collect thousands of dollars in just a week if they manage to get lucky on their dives.
The 16th installment of Bering Sea Gold has so far not shown any majorly impressive yields, but with only a few weeks remaining for the finale, each of these groups is hoping to cash in big bucks to end their season on a successful note.
Bering Sea Gold Season 16 Episode 9: Recap
In the last few episodes of Bering Sea Gold, each team seemed to be going through trouble of their own. At Nome, Alaska, Jane finally met up with her cousin Kate and was now hoping to feel a bit better at work.
This season has been especially tough on Jane since her group hasn’t been able to get ahold of any good gold for a while.
Shawn is at the East Track Claim and finds out that the place doesn’t have many gold ores. Joe finds a hot spot for Shawn, so there’s still hope left for the group. After diving in, Shawn sees that the underwater land does have some traces of gold. Unfortunately, it’s covered by thick ice.
Vernon was looking forward to collecting some gold, but his health showed that he was in need of some rest. As Jane’s team was working in the water, she received news that Emily had given birth to a healthy baby.
At the Kelly’s, the group gets into an argument after their equipment, the gold-sucking Crawler, stops working properly. This not only made their work slower, but it also meant losing potential money, so Kelly’s tried to fix it before it led to irreversible loss.
