The man tells him he is the true patriarch of the Hart family, the TURE Count Hart. Deon’s knight got angry at him for insulting Deon, so he told Deon to leave him to him.
He did hear that Cruel rejected the offer to become the count, but It seems like some random collateral descendent ended up becoming the patriarch of the family.
However, this was good news for Deon. He congratulates him since it won’t be long before the Hart family completely disappears from history.
Deon was excited to see his family perish. Deon knew that the greedy members of the family just appointed an idiot to be their pawn in that position.
