Hell’s Kitchen Season 22’s theme is “The American Dream,” and its 18 different participants have traveled from all over the country to pursue their dream of working for Chef Gordon Ramsay.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who originated and starred in the British television show of the same name, hosts the show. Two teams of chefs fight each season for the position of chief chef at one of his signature restaurants.
Each season’s field is reduced down to a single winner thanks to a progressive elimination system. One contestant is usually chosen to be eliminated in each episode. Ramsay’s exploding rage at the participants is an important part of the program.
