Plot Of The Movie
Brynn is a talented artist and seamstress who works on her magnificent model town in her spare time and sells her handmade clothing online. Her mother is gone. She practices saying hello to neighbors and random bystanders in public, but nobody ever appears to want to be her buddy.
Except for her friend Maude, to whom she sends letters, she never speaks to anyone. Additionally, for some reason, she runs away when she notices Maude’s parents are present. Later, more on that.
Brynn is once rudely awakened in the middle of the night by someone breaking into her home. It turns out that the intruder is a scary alien invader. Only fifteen minutes into the movie, we’ve already witnessed what is possibly the best action scene in the whole thing.
Brynn kills the alien by stabbing it in the head with one of her model houses after a harrowing run-and-hide episode. But the threat is still present. All of the power in Brynn’s house and car has been turned off by the alien utilizing its alien skills.
Brynn rides his bike into the city to the police station. However, she runs across Maude’s parents once again before she can tell anyone that there is a frickin’ dead extraterrestrial in her home.
It turns out that Maude’s father is the police chief, and boy, is he not pleased to see Brynn! Brynn receives spit from Maude’s mother. Brynn goes without reporting the extraterrestrial because she is so shaken. Instead, Brynn boards a bus to leave the city.
She instantly understands that she is not safe. It turns out that although the other bus passengers appear to be human, they are actually under the control of aliens. And it appears that they want to kill Brynn.
